My husbands visa case is as USCIS for the second time (after being approved, interview, AP etc.) My receipt date is July 30, 2012 and it our case has not been touched since. I submitted an e-service request a couple days ago.

I have read on here that they have 180 days to contact me with an intent to deny but I have also read that these cases get put on the bottom of the stack and have no priority. Has anyone else gone through this and how long did it take? I am at the California Service Center btw.

Yes same happened to me years ago. My case was sent back to USCIS after AP on may 28, 2008. Then I received NOID on may 19, 2009. It took nearly a year.

You will get NOID that has all the issues that was found in interview by Embassy and/or during AP.

You need to get ready to respond to those issues in writing with supporting documents.

You can start your support documents collections NOW...

You know about your case, red flags,... interview questions, issues raised...

You will get all of it in NOID letter, you will have 30 days to respond.

You need to respond to all of the issues.

Once you got NOID, if feeling comfortable, email me for any advice. I will email you with some information.

Thank you deep, I will. I am already gathering things that I think may cover our red flags but I'm really waiting to see exactly what they are looking for. That is why I sent in a FOIA request for consular notes so I could get a heads up on it.

Wow, a year...dang.

Once you replied to your NOID how long did it take for them to process that and get another interview?

There was one member here on VJ I know... he got NOID end of Dec 2011, responded by end of Jan 2012...Got approved in 5 working days...We Were Shocked/Surprised.

Got Interview middle of April 2012, he also attended the interview, they were approved... and got IR1 instead of CR1 because the interview was after 2nd anniversary of their marriage.
