Did you never receive an electronic notification or did you never opt in?

To be honest I knew nothing about electronic notification. Now I do!! Sounds like I can sign up using my receipt.

Thanks!

I sent my packet to the Chicago Lockbox and it was delivered Sunday night Feb 3rd(strange I know) according to USPS. I still don't have my NOA1. Do people typically have to wait 3 or more days to get an NOA1?

I just want to make sure its not lost somewhere.

Kind of a bundle of nerves right now....(and it's only the beginning of this process...eeek).

Someone please reassure me that it will come tomorrow.

P.S. On a side note, I also want to thank everyone who is a part of Visa Journey for being so helpful even in the pre-stages of my process. I don't know how people filed for visas prior to this website. It's a lifesaver. Looking forward to having this supportive community as my husband and I have to endure the next months to come of waiting...

Did you send it to P.O. box or the address provided?

Which carrier did you use?

I sent it to the P.O. Box via priority mail USPS. I'm glad that others are saying it can take a couple weeks to cash the check/get NOA1. I was originally under the impression that they do it within 24-48 hrs (based on other members' timelines I've seen).

Mine was received at the same time, I'm still waiting as well. Glad to see I'm not the only one :)

I have tracked a few members that have just sent in there's the last week of January. It seems right now, they are getting texts 3 business days away. Somebody's who was delivered Friday got theirs last night. We would be for the Monday deliver, so hopefully, hopefully, tonight at 9 PM roughly PST we get our text for the Sunday night delivery.

That's the pattern/trend I pick up on. However, due to being delivered over a weekend, it is possible we might not get it til Thursday.

That's my most scientific guesstimate :)

I'd highly suggest not calling about not getting it, boy was that ever a mistake for us.

Sounds like an interesting story. What happened?

Yeah same here. Even for the processing time, lets keep in touch with that stuff to see how far apart the cases actually are.

Yeah it takes up to 2 weeks. Just because they got it, it doesn't mean they opened it. I got my NOA1 the same day my check was cashed after 8 days. GOOD LUCK

:ot:

Word of advice... RELAX  NOA2 takes up to 6-7 months

Nope. Well then it has to be tonight!!! Lol, I got my fingers crossed. The way I figured it, it was 3 days, but the weekend, adding Saturday mail in it, could've set us back to 4. So I'd say today is best shot :) If not, I give up.

Hahah. Yeah. I need to stop checking my phone for the NOA1 text/email...it's driving me crazy. Crossing my fingers too! By the way, why did you think 9PM PST? If it was delivered to Chicago would it be CST?
