Yes, but when you are dealing with racism and bigotry, these factors fall into the wayside. This is why some minorities push themselves harder than the average white person. You are taught early on that you have to be 3 times better than the best in order to get even looked at. Look at the Tuskegee(sp)pilots, they scored higher than their white counterparts, and were accused of cheating. Had to take it again just to get in the program. Same thing with hispanics. I think the only ones that don't have this stigma is Asians, they are stereotyped smart so this isn't a problem for them.

Lol, I wouldn't say terrible. Depends on what country you are in. Japan, very civil and courteous(well, most of the time. Once a guy hit my friend's RX7 and didn't even slow down, just kept driving, even though he took the door off the car.) Korea, just remember this rule: The bigger the vehicle, the more right of way you have. China, pretty decent, didn't drive there, just took a bunch of cabs. Cabs are the way to go, but keep your wits about you. I forgot to have change one time, and we ended up surrounded by a dozen cabs in an out of the way spot. After the driver got out to talk with his buddies, I got impatient and wanted to go find him. The wife tried to keep me from getting out of the cab. Just as I untangled my self, the cabbie finally came back with some change, not quite enough, and fresh directions to where we were trying to get to.

The wife always got scared when I would argue with the cabbies. I learned to relax when I figured out that the 50 or 100 pesos extra under discussion only worked out to around a dollar or two US.

Yep, we've been to Pusan about 12 times in 3 years. I had to get a Korean license since the officers needed a driver for the various errands they required. It wasn't so bad, but the cabs over there are used to it so they weave in and out of traffic like nothing. A few times I got a wee bit scared with the speed and motion but I didn't show it, well just a little when I screamed like a schoolgirl
