I read it happens often. I have heard that some just go to the field office as if they did not get the notice, and get interview anyway. I would, worse thing that can happen is get informed that they canceled the interview and sent home.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

This seems to be coming frequent lately, no idea what is happening but there does not seem to be any rhyme or reason to it... on the bright side, most of those who have had their interview cancelled have gotten another one within a month or two..

I 130 & I129F (K3) and AOS info in timeline

I probably would try it. Unfortunately, my wife would not ;)

I had the same thing happen to me. My interview for August 18th had been cancelled (per Lee's Summit) and 2 days later I received a notice that my new interview was August 8th (per Miami). Then 3 days after that I received another notice that my interview was September 5th (per Lee's Summit). I went to the interview on August 8th...had my interview was pending FBI namecheck. Gave my notice for the September 5th interview to my AO, he said that a lot of this is happening because a lot of times Lee's Summit isn't at the same pace as the DO where the interview will take place.

Interestingly enough, my AO called me on September 4th and told me my namecheck was complete and to come in for my stamp. Had I waited until my Sept. 5th date, I would have been approved without any knowledge of being stuck in namecheck...

not saying that this is the case, but don't be too alarmed...I know there was another VJ'er who also received the same notices as me and we both went to the same office and there were a few others with rescheduled notices as well.

Good Luck...but don't be afraid to follow up!

You should contact the office where your interview is scheduled for and ask them ...... please do not wait .....

I waited then i got a denial letter and the letter said that we had to leave the country because we didnt go to the interview......

I went to the local office when i got the denial and took all the proof that we had saying that it had been canceled.....the main office had cenceled but NOT the local that was doing the interview.....

they did give us another interview date as it was their fault and all is done now we have been approved

That's scary! I guess I will give them a call if I don't get another appointment soon.

BTW, the online case status still only acknowledges that they received the application... nothing else.

My interview was initially scheduled on Oct 12, but on Sept 20 the Lee's Summit sent us the same cancellation letter as yours. Well it's a few days after we changed our address (but it's in the same area).

Anyways, we were so nervous and since our online status has never changed, we called the USCIS hotline and they also told me our interview has been cancelled. Then we could just wait for another interview.

Finally, after we went to ask at the local office, they touched my case and sent us another interview letter on Nov 2. This interview is scheduled exactly 2 months after the 1st one, i.e. Dec 12. AND it'll be interviewed in the San Jose office but NOT the SF office (when we went to ask at the SF office and our case was still there). So you see it's weird and we obviously don't know what a mess they're making!

Update: I just got another appointment letter! My new appointment date is almost exactly a month after the original one.

Obviously, nothing has changed in my online case status... not even a touch! ;)

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
