Hello All,

Currently I am on H1B visa and it's valid till 2015. Now i am planning to apply for my Green card through my US citizen wife. So do i need to file I-765 for EAD or i should be good, since i have valid work authorization till 2015?

Please advise me here. Thanks in advance.

Moved from spousal visas to adjustment of status from work visas as the OP is not filing for a spousal visa but adjusting status from work.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

You can - if you want to change the employer but there is no other reason to.

I-765 is free to file so there is not much reason not to apply. You could get laid off, you could get a great new job offer - it's nice to have the work authorization if either of those happen.

Spouse-based AOS from out-of-status H-1B, May - Aug 2012

Removal of conditions, Aug - Nov 2014
