Will this be enough evidence?

I submitted my I-751 package on 2/2/13 and am a little preoccupied about what I sent. I'm not sure if this will be enough evidence:

1. Copy of joint federal and state taxes for 2010 and 2011

2. Copy of a recent statement of our joint checking account

3. Copy of our credit cards showing joing accounts (these we got very recently so that's a little worrying)

4. Copy of our costco club membership cards

5. Copy of the first page of our contract of sale for the apartment we reside (I bought the apartment and that paper shows that my husband is living in it as well)

6. Copy of our homeowner's insurance renewal letter with both our names in it

7. Copy of our health insurance cards reflecting a joint policy

8. Copies of our airline and hotel reservations for 3 different trips since we got married

9. Color copies of about 60 photographs in a collage since we first started dating in 2004 (4 photos per page with captions underneath them stating where and when those were taken)

10. Two original notarized affidavits of good friends (one US citizen the other has a student visa)

Our utilities are always either under my name or his, never really joint. I never ended up getting a state ID so I have no ID that shows my current address. If anyone could please let me know whether or not they think I will be getting an RFE. I was going to get an attorney but decided against it last minute.

Thanks

Looks good to me. Getting the joint credit card recently is not an issue. We all get something or other at different time and USCIS knows that. All the best with your application.

Your joint account statement needs to span all over 2 years since you got the green card/married. Don't forget the driver license if you both have one or state ID if they show the same address.

Also, as far as utilities bills go, it's okay if one has your name, and the other one has his. Send them in. it still show you both shares responsibility of bills. They know some utilities company cannot add another name to the bill.

Interesting, I never read in the instructions that I needed to submit my statements spanning two years. I don't know how to drive so I don't have a driver's license and like I said, I don't have an ID that shows my current address.

I didn't submit the utilities bills but I did submit the homeowner's insurance renewal which does have both our names on it. I am assuming from your response that it is likely that I will get an RFE for not submitting these things, correct?

Ok. Thanks for your response. I guess I'll just have to wait and see. It would've been so easy for me to submit that. I should've looked at this blog before.

I am not sure about that. But other VJ here probably can answer that as they are more knowledgable than me whether or not you can send those documents after you have submitted I-751.

If you can, however, this time, I would make sure you look around here and put your list down again for other VJ filers to look at before sending to USCIS.

Or do you think I should try to submit this in a second mailing?
No, because it will almost certainly not catch up with the first mailing. Wait to see if you get an RFE, then add what you want along with what's asked for in the RFE.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Do you think the rest of the things I submitted are enough evidence?

Surely you can get a state ID at DMV? Looks like a drivers' license, but you can't actually drive with it. :)

I definitely will. Been putting it off for so long since the lines are absurd. If I get that RFE I'll be doing it sooner than later :).

It seems to be that the most compelling evidence is tax returns. You submitted those, so you will probably be fine. You can start gathering some of the other evidence in case you do get an RFE, but try not to stress about what might happen. I have had friends submit way more evidence than that and still get an RFE for more. It happens to some and not to others with no way to predict. As far as the state ID, I don't know if your state offers online appointments, but look into it. We have them here, and it saves tons of time at the DMV. If you have an appointment, you pretty much go to the front of the line. Good luck with the rest of your process!
