I have interview next month and I want to know if I will have to present my husband birth certificate to the CO, it was not sent in because he can't find it, I just wanna know if this will be relevant. Can any one help please?

Just contact the nvc, they said I don't have to worry about that, everything the consulate will need was forward to the embassy,I don't feel satisfied. Still feel worried.

Didn't you submit the original (notarized copy?) with the packet you sent to NVC? Is THAT why your husband can't find it? You should have already sent originals in with your application unless you're doing EP.

Are you the US citizen or the beneficiary (immigrant). The citizen does not need birth certificate for the beneficiary's interview. If you're the beneficiary you should have send your birth certificate to the NVC already, you would not have gotten an interview date without it.

Yes I have sent my birth certificate in the original! But he sent in a copy of his, he had made a copy of his before it got lost, and it was notarized, so now I am looking at the documents they say I must take and it said on the list "petitioner birth certificate" so I panic.

I really don't see why they would need the petitioner's birth certificate? You must have already proved he was a USC (passport/birth certificate) for the petition to even be approved?

Yes that's what I thought too. So I am going to ignore that one on the list. He was born here in jamaica but he left here at age 3 his mom petitioned for him, but he is a U.S

citizen and hold a U.S passport. I mean if there was anything wrong theywe would have not gotten approved.

The only reason they would need the US citizen's birth certificate would be to prove US citizenship, which you can do with a copy of his passport so calm down, breathe, you'll be fine, there's no need for his birth certificate!
