Well,

Digna has had her medical and packet 3 requirements completed on Oct 27 and we are waiting on packet 4 to be delivered. A courier delivered a package today from the embassy and our hopes went thru the roof that our journey was coming to an end before the holidays. It was packet 3 again!!!!! A call to the Visa Information Center, which is a company in Mexcio City that the embassy outsources to, said "sorry for the mistake". Packet 4 should arrive in about 1 to 2 months, then you can call and schedule an interview. If pachet 4 does not arrive in a month, then call and they will contact the embassy to send out packet 4 again. Wait another month, then if packet 4 is not recieved, contact the Visa Information Center and they will contact the embassy to send out another packet. I have to remember that both Digna and I have to revieve packet 4 to schedule an appointment. If one of us does not, then we call the Visa Information Center and they will contact the embassy to send out another packet. Somebody wish me a Merry Christmas because it looks like I will be alone for this one. John

Thanks Cybernut,

Just got my mail and the Embassy was nice enough to send me the incorrect packet 3 too. It really makes me think happy thoughts on how inefficient they are. You know, I have not talked to anybody that has gotten a K1 Visa thru El Salvador.......Is there anybody? I do know that there are a few disappoited individuals like myself.
