Eli Stone? I could imdb but tell me anyway.

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

Can I ask when you filed your expedite, if they requested the proof, and what your reason was? Sorry, I'm just digging for answers on my own case...

I've finally gone and done it, if only to shrink my signature a little.

Maybe when I call tomorrow I'll ask if it in front of an adjudicator. I didn't bother to the other times because I just figured it was too soon, but with now 2 Congressional inquiries and the expedite and just can't reach any other conclusion.

That sucks, but maybe there is hope that it will be coming soon?

I just saw the updated processing times on NBC, why oh why are I-130s not listed?

Hartford field office has also made only a week's worth of progress in a month in processing I-485s. Since they don't list the stand alone I-130 times, I am just going to assume that it is the same. In case anyone missed it - if Hartford keeps up their current rate of processing, it could be 18 months before November I-130 transfers are approved. :bonk:

Oh no problems! I was in a really bad car accident (rear ended) and have had major complications and on top of that I was recently put on bed rest as well as I will be getting a blood transfusion in a bout a week. I am severely anemic and well it's been a tough month. But I called and called and told that they couldn't see the decision so I was sent to a tier 2 rep.. got nothing.. and then told that my case is "special" (whhhhaatttt?) and they need 6 months and told that I should just write to them with proof.. I am just over it. but yea.. I guess it's better to just wait and see what happens I guess.

Sigh….hubby too is starting to lose faith with the system.

When we were on Skype last night we were talking about my upcoming visit down (11 days and counting) and he said “When we go to Charleston…”

It’s not IF for him anymore but WHEN - he’s resigned himself to going to Charleston once a month for InfoPass appointments. :(

I’ve tried not to vent too much with him because I wanted one of us optimistic at least.

Well that's professional of them.

Did you end up mailing in the request? We are mailing ours into Hartford today, but it will take a week or more to arrive.

Did you end up talking to a second ISO? The one I spoke to on January 30th didn't seem to be able to see as much as the one I spoke to yesterday. I wonder if they have different permissions?

BTW I filed my expedite on Jan 10th and was told to wait 2 weeks and gave my email because I was also told they would email me with the approval or denial.. Got nothing  I haven't written to them because honestly.. I am exhausted and tired of USCIS and getting the run around.. I might try but I don't even know who to write to! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! OK.. feeling slightly better lol :dead:

I really don't think there's anything much you can do in normal cases to make the process go faster. I really don't. I think my approval was in spite of what I did to monitor it and chivvy it along, not because of it. I think I drove myself nuts with worry over something I had no control over (hence the worry).

That said, those of you with expedite requests are being treated shamefully and there's no blasted excuse. As a birthright USC I apologize to you and your loved ones for those dropped balls. I've written my Senator to ask about a logical priority order for expedite requests (among other things). He's in the middle of immigration reform efforts right now and I hope my letter will be one of the things keeping him focused on proper, legitimate reforms to help people trying to follow the rules (whether they did so from the beginning or are trying to remedy past indiscretions).

LATEST STEPS:

28 Jun 2013: POE Houston

08 Jul 2013: SSN received (at SSA office)

07 Aug 2013: Green Card received

27 Feb 2014: Whoa, life happened. Planning move "back home" together to Republic of Ireland by end of April.

29 Apr 2014: POE Dublin through Heathrow

15 May 2014: Received formal residency/work permission (GNIB card with Stamp 4, one year renewable) for the ROI

Yeah, well, we all come to the conclusion that USCIS has us by the proverbial 'balls' so to speak.

For us, I think that means it is best not to look and see other people's approvals and worry about it. We've done all we can at this point - 3 senatorial inquiries, 2 expedite requests. If it doesn't want to budge, it simply won't.

We will find a work around...and we will make it work.

At least your senator responded to you.

Mine has ignored me.

NOT VOTING FOR YOU ANYMORE, MAN!

YOUR NAME MUST BE DCK FOR A REASON.

CT is a much smaller state so perhaps they had less people contacting them. Did you try the Representative?

No. I went with senator first since he's some fancy pants big wig in the senate.

Who is more sympathetic? Democrats or Republicans?

I typed my PA Rep's name along with immigration and I got their detailed stance on key immigration issues. Website is ontheissues.org.

I am the petitioner.
