What is the reason for the discrepancies between the time it takes for certain applications to get approved and others? Some of you have been waiting a ludicrously long time that makes me anxious. Are the differences due to the fact we are all applying from different countries (i.e., some countries are faster than others), or what?

There is no difference besides USCIS just not having a clue on how to process applications in an efficient and fair manner. Also, some field offices that have jurisdiction over where the petitioner lives are ludicrously slow or seem to be boycotting processing the I-130s that they were sent.

In addition, it seems that men from MENA countries are likely to be put in AP after the interview.

I'm only at 63 days. I'm not jaded just nervous and missing my husband. But we seem to have a good cycle going. When I am clam about the USCIS processing he is stressed about it. And when I am stressed he is calm. We've been apart 115 days. We never thought being apart was going to be this hard. (I really don't know how military wives do it.)

USCIS - 66 days ROC - 139 days from sent to approved
12/3/2012 - I-130 delivered to Chicago 5/20/15: mailed I-751 package to California office
12/4/2012 - NOA1 NBC (Missouri Service Center MSC) 5/22/15: Date on NOA1
12/6/2012 - Check cashed 8/26/15: Bio appointment

12/8/2012 - Received paper NOA1 10/06/15: Received Email card was being processed
12/20/2012 - Case number showed up on USCIS website
1/29/2013 - Called USCIS and case is still at NBC
2/8/2013 - Received an Email that we were approved on 2/7/13
3/5/2013 - Told file may have been "misplaced" to email NOA2 to NCVresearch
3/7/2013 - ISO at the USCIS opened a service request to try to track down
if and when the file was shipped. Should hear something before 3/26 ( so she said)

NVC - 119 days NVC to Visa in hand
03/11/2013: NVC received (31 days from NOA2 at USCIS till received at NVC )
03/25/2013: NVC Case no. assigned
03/27/2013: Paid AOS fee (shows paid 3/29/13)
04/01/2013: AOS Sent
03/27/2013: Received IV Bill
03/27/2013: Paid IV Bill (shows paid 3/29/13)
04/01/2013: Sent IV Packet
04/02/2013:IV Packet Delivered
04/16/2013: Case Complete (37 days from received to case complete)
04/16/2013: Received Case Complete Email

05/13/2013: NVC status "In Transit"

051/20/2013: NVC status "Ready"
06/24/2013: Interview date - Orange card... wanted copy of USC passport

07/08/2013: Visa received in the mail

08/03/2013: POE

Auto expedite for Canada (and maybe elsewhere?) was always spotty to begin with. I listed my Canadian address ONLY on all forms and still ended up at Vermont--apparently the "auto-expedite" line was at the CA service center. Don't beat yourself up about it, it was never a guarantee, and I know I (and some other Americans in Canada who filed around the same time I did and got stuck in VERMONT HELL) certainly didn't benefit from it either.

Pretty sure I'd have more chance of the auto expedite if I DID than if I didn't.

This thread is about pissing. I'm pissing. Let me piss.

Bets on February 16th coming and going with no NOA2.

Hey Darnell, do you think they've done nothing with our expedites because the cases are already with an adjudicator? Albeit the world's slowest ones?

I know I should call to follow up about the expedite today or tomorrow, but I almost can't be bothered for fear of more misinformation.

205 days and counting!!!!!!! ARGHHHH!!!!!! :protest::ranting: Hubby spoke to a Tier 2 ISO yesterday and literally BITCHED her out, lol!!!!!

I thought she was going to snap or hang up. She just kept saying "I'm sorry sir but..." Then he tells her that "I know you're reading what you're supposed to say to me from a piece of paper but I'd appreciate a different answer than what we've been hearing."

I think it helped a little to vent though. Sigh.

I have a few friends who work for the government and it is their general consensus that USCIS workers are mainly college drop-outs who couldn't do anything else.

After some of the conversations I've had with reps and "tier 2" people...I'm very much inclined to agree with them.

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

This entire process is full of let downs. I remember when I sent in my application in July I was so excited VSC was processing the fastest and my timeline was showing November approval and every week it gets pushed farther away.

My husband and I were living and working in Bermuda. My company decided in winter 2012 to move operations. We were just engaged and I always knew I wanted eventually move back to the States. I ended up getting a great job offer back home and we decided I would move first settle and after our planned October 2012 wedding he would join me. In the midst of all this my husband who is also a Bermuda work permit holder had his work permit expired since he has been living on the island for 8 years. So not only do we have to stress about the NOA2 we keep having to put in for an extension to his work permit so he doesn't have to go back to Portugal to wait for the approval. Bermuda has term limits to protect Bermudians.

We even got married in City Hall in June to get all the paperwork in so after our real wedding in Bermuda in October he would come back with me... here we are now in February and no end in sight... I know I am lucky because we have been able to fly back and forth to see eachother but this is our first year married its supposed to be wedding bliss... had to vent nobody in my family understands why it could take this long... glad others feel the same way...

I am upset but what else can I expect? Plus I shouldn't complain it's been 3 months since NOA1 But have been apart for 6 months.. *sigh* I called to do an expedite.. told them what was going on, have proof.. blah blah blah is what they must have heard.. waited 2 wks. for a stupid letter not telling me a darn thing!! All it said was that it needed 6 months to process my case... really? And this is from MSC.. Well all my hope for my husband to be here for the birth of our daughter has gone out the window.. I'm due April 8th.. yep that was just a dream.. I miss him terribly so every chance we get to talk we do.. It's just one of the things that brightens up my day.. Good luck to everyone else though! I'm rooting for you guys!!

I still remember when I filed and it said we should be approved sometime in September. That was a laugh. 3.5 months have slowly turned into 8 months so far.
