Hey all!

I am putting together my I-751 package. one of the things they request is, if I have ever been arrested, I need an original copy of the court documents, showing that my charges were dropped.

Well.. when I applied for my 2yr green card, they requested it, and I send it in. and for some stupid reason, i did not make a copy of it. so they already have this information on file.

I am having issues with the court house in Canada sending me another certified copy. and now I am not sure what to do.

Can I put in a letter signed by me stating I have sent in a copy already, and I can not get another one? I do not see why they can not just look it up and see I already had givin them this information.

what do you all think I should do? I dont want do delay my application with this.

ATTACHED A LETTER TO YOUR 1-751 APPLICATION AND EXPLAINED IN THE LETTER THAT YOU HAD ALREADY SEND IT IN WITH YOUR 2 YEAR GREENCARD AND EXPLAINED THAT YOU ARE HAVING A HARD TIME WITH THE COURT HOUSE OF GETTING ANOTHER ONE. MEAN WHILE, I WOULD STILL TRY TO GET ANOTHER ONE FROM THE COURT HOUSE IF YOU STILL HAVE PLENTY OF TIME TO SEND IN YOUR PACKAGE. IF YOU DO GET IT FROM THE COURT HOUSE, MAKE A COUPLE OF COPIES. GOOD LUCK.

Thank you for the reply.

yes I am considering putting in a letter, and still try to get the documents, if they ROE me. I also can ask the USCIS to return original documents that i sent in with my 2yr, but I assume thats something they want to keep.

I made an Infopass appointment for friday, and see what they have to say. I believe the office i am going to for the infopass is the office that the paperwork is there anyways. maybe they can give it to me then.

I have until march 15th to apply for my ROC, but my baby is due around that time and I want everything all together, and ready to go so i can just put it in the mail when the 15th comes.

Thanks everyone.
