I'm a bit anxious that the date for the interview is slowly approaching and we're still having some trouble.

We have affidavits filled in by sponcer and co-sponcer, pay slips, employer letters, bank statements.

But he hasn't sorted out tax returns, the general impression I'm getting is even though they're only requested for those self-employed, that we should bring them anyway?

Has anyone not brought tax returns and visa was refused/delayed because of it? Don't know if I'm just being paranoid, but I've waited forever, and funnily enough, don't want to wait any more :hehe:

I believe that the I-134 states the proof needed. In this list is recent tax returns. I am not self employed and because this is what I read, I enclosed past 2 years with W2 forms for each year. I also included much more: Bank letter stating my account start, status of checking and savings, 2 months paystubs, Copy of recent Pension totals, 2004 House appraisal, investments and life insurance. Maybe overkill!

You did state that you he has a co-sponser. The co-sponsers tax info is probably of more value since they are truly the financial sponser.

Hope i helped in some way :) Good luck and God bless both of you

KaiserD,

For a K visa there's only a "sponcer", and that's the person who has the money.

Tax returns are not "only requested for those self-employed", tax returns are frequently requested of anyone offering to be the sponsor. I'm not familiar enough with the consular section in London to know if London wants to see tax returns, but I expect that if other evidence of income is solid enough they might be willing to forego tax returns even if they generally do want to see them.

LuvLife,

Points of clarification:

- I-134 does not state the proof needed, DS-2000 (formerly OF-167) states the types of proof that can be presented.

- I-134 asks for tax returns only if the person is self-employed. But see the point above......

You seem to have done the right thing for the wrong reason!

fwaguy,

Yodrak meant exactly what he wrote - a quote from the OP's post.

I think Yodrak meant "Sponsor"
