I would not worry, some of us are over-compensators

Photographs are secondary evidence: you MUST provide other proof of meeting: boarding passes are a definite must in addition to passport stamps, receipts of any sort showing you were both where you claim you were at the time. The more proof the better: though this should not be interpreted as the more chat logs the better: the emphasis is on more variety rather than quantity in proving meeting in person and ongoing relationship.

of course they are useful, but when I was preparing for my k1 visa interview, I also took a few screen shots, with friends and family comments on our pics. We choose Valentines day, our official engagement party (with tons of comments), christmas, our bdays.

Let me share a list of things we collected for our visa ( we sent a few things with package and the rest for our interview) We spent months searching for the most important items requested by most of the embassies:

1. whatsapp, bb mmsn, skype chat logs and screen shots.

2. pictures the two of us and with the family

3. receipts from: hotels, restaurants, hostals, museums, tours etc

4. Call logs

5. emails, cards, letters

6. airplane tickets, boarding passes, itineraries

8. copy of passport stamps

9. western union/money transfer receipts

After we sent our k1 package we started gathering all our stuff...and weeks put it them together....the funny part is that the consulate staff who interviewed me, NEVER asked me to see nor a single photo... It only lasted like 5 min? I was like Is that it? don't you want to see our pics? I have pretty pics :bonk: :bonk: :bonk::rofl: I was kind of disappointed cause we spent a lot of time and money having all this together...

hope I can help and the best of lucks in journey

I never thought of keeping these kinds of things for this part of the process. (Flight receipts/anything, condo rental receipts) I always thought the pictures along with copies from my passport would show proof of being in PI visiting her. Do I need to try to scramble to do better on showing proof of visit?

Where did you meet at? I can photoshop a photo showing me there also!

Does facebook chat qualify as the proof of ongoing relationship?

Thank you,

Jonny Vorn

Hey my friend,

This is what my fiance attached with I-129F packet:-

1. Photos (maybe 10 or something)

2. Yahoo chat conversations (A few pages from each month)

3. Plane tickets (2 times of visiting)

4. Boarding passes (2 times of visiting)

5. Hotel receipts

6. Engagement ring receipt

We received NOA1 in a week, and NOA2 in 76 days without any reference requested.

When the interview date came, we brought more proofs like:-

1. Emails

2. Post Cards

3. Flowers delivery record

4. Express sending record

5. All of our photos

6. More yahoo chat conversations

Tip: US embassy in Cambodia does not accept plane ticket, boarding pass, hotel receipt, engagement letter, and parents consent as the proofs of relationship.

So I suggest you to send everything that you have now to USCIS because they will look everything in the packet that you send.

Hope this help :)

Just out of curiousity, what good does this do me...............

Photos are secondary evidence....anything can be created with the right software.....so one needs more than just a passport stamp and a photo to prove an actual meeting took place.

Yes. It's accepted :) I think depending on the amount of time you talk to each other on Facebook, it alone can serve as proof. But it doesn't hurt to send in more proof... Phone Calls, etc.

Thank you my friend. It was really helpful and our case seem to be familiar. Are the plane tickets or boarding pass required?

Under his tips he said Cambodia does not accept plane tickets or boarding passes, however I am pretty certain a copy of the visa/passport stamps would be looked at.
