Does Egypt accept co-sponsors?

Does Egypt accept co-sponsors if the petitioner does not meet poverty guidelines? i'm being told this situation is embassy specific...has anyone been approved thru egypt with a co-sponsor on a k1 fiance visa?

No. No co sponsors for k-1 in Egypt.

However, another poster in the last few days said that the US Embassy does not care that you don't meet the poverty line for the K-1. Look at that thread and Private message the person.

Personally, I don't believe it's true but you should do more research.

Yes they do accept co-sponsor for a fiance visa.

Additional Info for people who need to use a co sponsor: You can inform the co sponsor that they can Mail OR Email the I-134 directly to the embassy if they don't want their private information to be seen.They need to include all information that's required to sponsor and write your case number on all the forms.

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

how do you know they don't accept co-sponsors?

They do accept co-sponsers and they have accepted co-sponsors for as long as I can remember. They accepted our co-sponsor back in 2007 and I've even seen them require people pursuing the K1 that met poverty guidelines to get a co-sponser anyways, as recently as the end of last year. Egypt certainly accepts co-sponsers and sometimes requires it before they'll issue the visa in hand.
