Your wife being pregnant will not help your case. It will not speed things up either. You won't be able to visit just because she's pregnant. Not to be mean but if you wanted to be present at the birth perhaps you should have planned this better. Hopefully your case will be processed in a timely manner.

Don't expect them to grant you a "be there for my child's birth" visa because it doesn't exist. The fact that you are waiting on an immigrant visa/green card will probably make your chances at a B2 tourist visa slim to none. They also won't see this as cause to expedite your case. Sorry dude. My sympathies.
