Hi!!

I have a big question. My fiancee and I will be travelling outside of both our home countries for 4 months. We just filed our I-129 and I would like to know if we are super lucky and our petition gets processed super fast, before we come back to our home countries, would it be possible to reschedule the interview? Is that possible? would it be a wise move or should I get on a plane back home and be there for the interview?

Does somebody have any experience on this area or maybe some good advice??

Thank you so much!!!

You wont have to worry about this problem. You will be just like 99.9 % of the people that feel its taking too long and cant understand why.

Take the time to review the timelines from others and you will see examples of reality.

We were together traveling when we got the interview date. I Just explained the truth to the Buenos Aires embassy and told them that we needed the interview a couple of days later and they had no issue whatsoever. You'll need to have the medical exam and police certificate done before the interview, so make sure you come back a couple of days before. But most likely, like Ning said, you'll be back to Argentina before the NOA2 if you'll only be away for four months, so don't worry and enjoy your trip.

K1 NOA1: April 18th, 2012
K1 NOA2: October 25th, 2012 (190 days at VSC, NO RFE)

INTERVIEW: November 29th, 2012 (APPROVED)
POE: December 14th, 2012 (Miami)
MARRIAGE: December 21st, 2012 (the end of the world! lol)
AOS SENT: December 26th, 2012
AOS NOA1: December 31st, 2012
AP/EAD NOA1: December 28th, 2012
BIOMETRICS: January 31st, 2013
AP/EAD APPROVAL: February 20th, 2013
AP/EAD card in the mail: March 2nd, 2013

GREEN CARD APPROVED: September 17th, 2013 (no interview)

Merely email the Embassy and request it.

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!
