Congrat Nimaan.

JimmyHou, it seems like you have been in this website for awhile specially Houston office. I filed my N-400 on 7/21 and had bio 8/19 (GC anniversary is 10/11 based on marriage). I receive a YL but I am still waiting to get inline (almost 2 months now). is there a chance I am inline but they forgot to update the website (still initial review) for some reason, any recommendation?

Thank you.

Sorry, no recommendations except being patient. It sounds like you haven't been waiting all that long. USCIS tries to complete your process in about 5 months. The national average is about 5 to 6 months, meaning that some offices will be faster and some will be slower. Houston is a busy office and will probably take longer. Even of they are faster than average and if they get done with your process in the target of 5 months, then you will take your oath in December. That means that if you are interviewed in November or early December, then you're still moving faster than average. I wouldn't worry at this point, but that's just my opinion. Look at Houston applicants in other monthly threads and compare your timeline to theirs. I read the other threads too, so I'll be happy to answer any questions on your month's thread.

Well, I finally got some good news to share!!

I received a text and email saying my case was update on 01/05/2015. Upon further reading my email, it stated I have been placed in line to be scheduled for oath.

I don't know how much longer I will have to wait to be scheduled but this is far the good news I have heard since April 2013 when I filed. This means I have been approved and I am one step closer to the finish line.

Thank you for all your encouragement but without contacting my Senator, I don't think I would have been at this step.

I am so happy for you. As I mentioned before April 2013 was the very first thread that I started reading on Visa Journey and I wanted to do anything I could to encourage you to push them until they finally naturalize you. It looks like you're almost there and I'm genuinely very happy for you! Please make sure you come back and update us when you finally take your oath and become a citizen. Edited by JimmyHou
