Congrats on getting your interview! I was wondering where you were. Always keeping an eye out for other ATL filers. smile.png

Atlanta does do same day oath but it's usually the people who have very early interviews (like in the morning time) who get it and also people traveling from far away. You could still get one if you don't fit that criteria but it's much less likely.

Hi,

This is what I brought to my oath ceremony: Notice of receipt acceptance, fingerprint notice, interview schedule notice, recommended for approval letter, passport and my green card. All I was asked for was my greencard. By tthe way, don't worry too much about the oath letter. I did not have it with me because my field office called me up to schedule me 3 days before the actual ceremony, so sending out an oath letter would of cut it too close. They just handed it over to me at the ceremony itself and I filled out the part on the back where they ask about any trips after the interview, or arrests and stuff.

Ok, good to know. A follow up question. How far was the in-line for oath schedule to scheduled? I just want to make sure I don't skip a beat here. smile.png Thanks!

I was placed oath queue 4 days after the interview and my oath was scheduled 3 days after being in line.

guys, guys.... look at this. my on-line status changed and i got a text last night.

"Oath Ceremony

On August 19, 2013, we scheduled you for your oath ceremony and sent a notice providing the date, time, and location. If you move prior to the scheduled ceremony, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

waiting on the letter now. should i call and see if they will give me the date and time over the phone? i am just so excited, i can't wait.

Welshdan, I'm very surprised you aren't done yet with naturalization. You were one of the first to have their interview from April thread. Somebody from the USCIS should be talking to you and let you know something more solid instead of predictions. You could have taken your oath in New Orleans where you had your interview, we had one last week.

08/13/2013 - Oath Ceremony

Officially a US citizen.

08/20/2013 - I-130 for Mom mailed

09/02/2013 - NOA received

same here, same here. BIO was done in Charlotte, NC which is where i work, but the interview was in Greer, SC. i live in SC. i can see Charlotte courthouse from my work window, but noooo have to drive 2 hours to Greer for the Oath. makes no sense! isn't immigration a federal issue, not state.

I wouldn't travel if I was you until after the oath and having your US passport. I travelled after my interview only to have the oath letter in the mail box after a few day. I was rushing calling airlines and had to pay $2000 to change my return date since I didn't want to reschedule. It should come soon, continue to hang in there. I'm sure you are running out of patience.
