Congratulations to those who are done and waiting for oath ceremony.Good luck to those whose going to do the interview. Please kindly update my status . Vanessa and Azure hang in there.

I haven't. Not a word, not an update or a date change on the website or anything. I don't anticipate hearing anything for at least another week + because if we DO get Davenport we're looking at a Nov 15th Oath date and I don't think they give that much notice.

I was hoping (as the IO told me) to be on the oath for August 16th, but I don't think that will happen. The good thing in Phoenix they have an oath every Friday.

I hope that you get an oath outside Davenport on a sooner date!

Adding my wife's oath ceremony and making her 'red.' If you don't mind the cheesy Lee Greenwood "Proud to Be an American" video mid-way through the ceremony, it was a pretty cool affair. As each person's name was called to receive the Certificate of Citizenship, the USCIS Director of the Philly office paused so that family could take a photo with them holding the certificate. The security guard was even friendly, snapping pictures of the various applicants in front of the American Flag or judicial bench as folks were filing out at the conclusion. At least in Philly, it seemed that if your paperwork was in order and you could speak English at a reasonable level, approvals were almost automatic. The three people in front of us at the interview phase who were 'rejected' indicated it was because of their inability to understand the questions being asked.

I am very happy as I got my Recommended for approval today.

A nice lady interviewed me, after requesting my passport, Green card and Drivers licence and after making me swear to answer the truth, the questions began.

She asked me this

Name of Florida's governor

where is the liberty statue

Name 2 national holidays

Who fought for the civil Rights

Who is the father of our nation

what is the name of the movement that wanted to end the racial discrimination

She then asked me questions of my application. She went through almost everything.

After that and asking me if I wanted to keep my name, I signed for some paper work and that was it.

I asked her when would my oath ceremony be and she said it may be at the end of August and that they will send me a letter with the date.

I'm about to finish this journey and I'm very happy everything has gone very good.

Good luck to all that are about to go to your interviews or oath ceremonies.

Oath in line for scheduling:

Oath Ceremony

On August 14, 2013, we placed your application in the oath scheduling que. We will send a notice when the ceremony is scheduled.

I-130 for Parents (Mom and Dad)

3.15.2014: Mailed I-130 Packet for Mom and Dad

3.21.2014: Received email notification with case # for both petitions; case forwarded to NBC for processing

3.21.2014: Check cashed

3.22.2014: Hard copy NOA1 received

4.08.2014: Both I-130 approved (notification received via email) - It only took three weeks!!!

4.11.2014: Received NOA2 approval notice in the mail.

5.01.2014: Called NVC to ask for status of paperwork. Advised they received both application on 4.28. Advised to call in 30 business days for an update.

6.02.2014: Email notification received from NVC that shows parents' NVC case number and instructions to pay AOS Fee and fill out DS 261.

6.03.2014: Paid AOS fee ($88 for both petitions)

4.26.2013: Mailed N400 Packet

5.21.2013: Biometrics

7.18.2013: Testing and Interview

9.25.2013: Oath Ceremony

07/22/2013 - N-400 Recommended for approval

08/13/2013 - Oath Ceremony

Officially a US citizen.

08/20/2013 - I-130 for Mom mailed

09/02/2013 - NOA received

03/04/2014 - I-130 Approval
