Okay, because we all know it works I'm going to be a pain and rant. WHERE IS MY OATH LETTER?!

I really really REALLY don't want to have to wait for the November 15 ceremony... that's AGES away. I would LOVE to get the August 9th date that's coming up oh so quickly... I want to call someone to make sure they haven't forgotten about me, but that seems... rude. I've never had to call before. Man...

No online updates... so I'm hoping the online updates are wrong and tonight (or sometime this week) I'll go home and check the mail and there it will be... like the Golden Ticket from Willy Wonka...

i am in the same boat and am getting super frustrated. I was on the first people on this thread to have interview and now seems like everyone is gearing up for Oath Ceremony except me. sooooooo sad...

Recommended for Aporoval !!!!!! And the officer said my oath ceremony will be on Aug 28th. I couldn't fall asleep last night ...but finally I am done with this 10 years immigration journey from getting my F1 to N400 .....congration to you all who passed their exams lately!! Time to take a good nap then celebrate with a nice bottle of wine !!!

Finally!!! I just came back from my interview! I was so nervous this morning. I arrived to Sacramento (Downtown), and was looking for a parking lot. After finding one, just behind the USCIS building, the guy told me that they accept just cash money, no credit cards!!! I was so lucky to have $10 on me. So, I arrived around 9:00 a.m. My appointment was at 9:45 am. There were quite a bit of people in the waiting room. I had to wait like for 30 minutes after 9:45 to be called for my interview (to tell the truth, I was getting more nervous, I thought they forgot about me). The officer that called my name told me they were running a little bit late.

The interview in itself was smooth and fast: after swearing to tell the truth and nothing but the truth, the officer began with the Test. I hade 6 questions:

1- What is the name of the national anthem?

2- Why does the flag have 13 stripes?

3- What ocean is on the West Coast of the United States?

4- What major event happened on September 11, 2001, in the United States?

5- How old do citizens have to be to vote for President?

6- What is the "rule of law"?

For the reading test, I had to read: How many Senators are there? And I had to write the answer: we have one hundred Senators.

Once this part was done, I was really feeling better, much better...all the rest of the interview was so easy, no original document required, just a list of trips that I made after filing the N400.

The officer was so nice, he told me that I am approved, big stamp in red, and after signing the N400 form, he made me sign my 2 passport-style photos that I sent with the N400 form. Then, he handed me a paper that showed that I passed my interview (N-652) form, and even gave me the N-445 form (Notice of Naturalization Oath Ceremony)...

YAY!!!! I am already schedule for the naturalization ceremony on August 21st at Sacramento Memorial Auditorium...

Since you've not received your Oath date yet, hopefully for Aug-09, I'm now getting really worried that I may not get that date!!! Your interview was a while back and still no response!! Mine is tomorrow...I reckon my oath may not be until NOVEMBER!!!!!!!!!GEEEEEZZZZ!!!!! I so wanted this all to be over by AUG-09th! Got that date circled on my Calendar! Oh well...I'm thankful nonetheless...this journey is nearing the end...

Well, let's not give our hopes up. See, I was beginning to think that USCIS was never going to schedule my oath ceremony after nearly a month of waiting for at LEAST an in line for schedule email. Then, all of a sudden on a glorious Monday, after all hope had vanished I got a phone call for an oath ceremony for Friday. It may happen for you I know how you feel and waiting sucks. I gotta tell ya, I did a happy dance after the phone call. Are you sure the next ceremony is not till November, maybe they have one sooner, how do you find out the exact dates? That's too far away.

Well, let's not give our hopes up. See, I was beginning to think that USCIS was never going to schedule my oath ceremony after nearly a month of waiting for at LEAST an in line for schedule email. Then, all of a sudden on a glorious Monday, after all hope had vanished I got a phone call for an oath ceremony for Friday. It may happen for you I know how you feel and waiting sucks. I gotta tell ya, I did a happy dance after the phone call. Are you sure the next ceremony is not till November, maybe they have one sooner, how do you find out the exact dates? That's too far away.

I think the same. Everything should go smooth. Be positive, and you'll see! You'll have what you wish for!!! So, keep your hopes up!!!!
