Over the weekend I threw out mail. Riveting I know but bank statements and the like (after properly protecting our personal info of course). It was great to be able to finally throw that stuff out. No more needing to prove our relationship... just sitting back and waiting (not patiently) for the Oath. I have more mail "stored" that I kept just in case of an RFE and because that doesn't matter anymore, I'll be "cleansing" that after the Oath in a blazing ball of fire. I will however be keeping my immigration stuff for a few years. Neatly stored somewhere. E-filed on my external hard-drive as well.

Anyone else enjoying the destruction of something that's been forced to be in the backs of our mind for years?

The yellow letter is just an RFE type deal so just like with the other processes, if you didn't get one that's good!

Good luck tomorrow! I'm sure you'll go great!

Yes, there is nothing more liberating than getting rid of junk you will no longer need. Specially me, I'm a neat freak!dead.gif

I know how you feel! Yeah I'm planning on doing that soon. I was going to burn 'em but not sure I can do that from my backyard so I'm going to sneak them in the confidential bin at my work. All those useless pay stubs, receipts etc can go now.

I plan on doing that as well but not until after my oath...lol

btw, never never saw the approval date online either, just saw that I am in line for oath and then suddenly changed to letter sent for oath ceremony. additionally, we did sign up to be notified by email and txt for updates but the only one we ever got was when they received our application and never got another one ever since

When you get your interview notice they include an additional letter called "Form N-659 "Naturalization Checklist" that's what we mean when we say "white letter".

You can also get a yellow letter. I posted mine here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/412738-n-400-april-2013-filers/?p=6328135 which is basically the N-400 version of an RFE except you don't send the stuff, you take it to interview.

Thank you...

Hi everyone. It’s been a long day. And it’s worth it. The verdict ...... Approved! Here’s my interview reviews.

My appointment was 11:45am. We left home around 8am because we have a few stops to make before we head to USCIS office. We arrive at the USCIS location at 10:45. We looked for a parking space. And we are entering the building at 11:00am. My DH, DD and our mini daschund, Max is with me. We pass through security. I put everything on a bin and we passed through a metal detector. They told us to upstair, Room 1 ( where I did my very first interview on my AOS). There was atleast 7 family including me. It was 12:10 when the IO called my name. IO Canady, is very pleasant and friendly. She told me to follow her and we arrived at her office and told me to put my stuff down so I can take an oath to tell the truth and nothing but the truth, so help me God. I said I do. And then she told me to sit down. She asked me for my DL, GC and passport. The interview happened really fast and it took awhile for me to remember what happened! :) She told me that she gonna start the Civic Test, I said ok. Here’s the questions.

What is Freedom of Religion?
Answer: Freedom of religion is you can practice any religion or not practice any religion.

How many U. S. Senators are there?

Answer: 100

When must all men register for Selective Service?

Answer: Between the age of 18 and 26

When was the Constitution written?

Answer: The Constitution was written on 1787

Name one States that borders Canada.

Answer: Michigan

What ocean is on the East Coast of the United States?

Answer: Atlantic Ocean

While she’s asking these questions she was writing something on the paper, I don’t know what. I’m really nervous. And then she handed me a piece of paper and she told me to read question number 1.

What do we pay the government?

And she handed me another piece of paper and told to write down the answer

We pay taxes.

And then she grabbed the N-400 application form that I sent, she asked me the questions...I confirmed my named and address, and she asked me if I wanted to change my name. I said no. She printed 2 sheets of paper, and then she asked me if I’m willing to defend the Constitution of the U.S.? I said I do. Are you willing to serve on the Military Service,? I said I do.... and 3 more other questions. And then she handed me a piece of paper to sign... my signature,...then printed whole name and then signature again. She told me that I passed the interview and the test. And she handed me the N-652

You passed the tests of English and U.S. History and Government

Congratulations! Your application has been recommended for approval. At this time, it appears that you have established your eligibility for naturalization. If final approval is granted, you will be notified when and where to report for the Oath Ceremony.

And she told me to I should receive a notice regarding on the oath ceremony within a month and the ceremony will be held on a federal court. And I said thank you and she accompanied me to the exits. It took not even 10mins the whole interview.

We stopped by to get some lunch at Noodles Company and then stopped by at Cheesecake Factory. I’m just so happy and thankful.

Case was recommended for approval today and I have the oath ceremony scheduled this Thursday. I'd like to do a longer review but I wasn't asked anything other than the civics test or standard questions on the application.

Nice... Congrats! :)

Hello guys I've been approved thank goodness. My appointment was 9:15 we left home around 8:20 sice were not too far away from the office but it interesting we ended up being late more than 10 mins and I'm freakin out we got to the building my husband dropped me off and follow when he find a parking slot. I explain to the security that I was late and he told me don't worry about it just tell them your in security. Too nervous I went up and down up an down in the elevator lol. I got in the interview place and again tell the security I was late and said told worry about it, there were 3 people including me. About 5 minutes later the officer(he) called my name. He ask me to sit down then stand up oath to tell the truth and sit down he gave me the pics I sent together with n400 and told me to sign it and asked for green card and dl. he was very friendly and pleasant. He go thru the whole n400 question word for word and let me sign the last page. Then he asked me 6 question. This is random I didn't remember the exact order. 1.What is freedom of religion? 2. When does the constitution written? 3. What states border Canada? 4. Selective service? 5. What ocean in east coast? 6. How many senators? The reading and writing Is all about taxes. Then he asked me if I bring some documents.i told him yes and he said he need the one will utility bills or letter with both me and my husband name on it I even show him family picture and he took it and that's it he said congratulations you pass and I recommend you for approval and wait for the oath letter to be sent. My husban told me it didn't take more than 10 mins. I feel happy and much better now were all getting there. Good luck guys!
