Man, I was so excited to see the envelope in the mail, that I ripped it open, threw everything else and envelope on the floor, and only stared at the interview date. After reading on here about this n-659, I checked the envelope again. sure enough, I got one too, and then a yellow paper recommending me to bring other documents.

One of the required documents is a Form 1722 from IRS. What is that?? I thought the tax transcripts that I sent in with application was sufficient? I was going to copy those again and bring with me. The N-659 says to bring both copies for them as well as the originals. It sucks to have to lug that heavy briefcase up there with all that stuff and I read on here, they don't even ask to see much except utility bills. Irritating.

It says I722 OR "copies of income tax forms you filed for the past 3 years". I sent Return Transcripts with my N-400 application so I'll just be taking those again. I'm simply bringing 2 folders. Not enormous folders either I don't think. One has all my immigration documents (sent and received) and the other will have additional evidence (original marriage certificate, Tony's birth certificate, all documents pertaining to my traffic citation, photos, wedding album (by shutterfly) and bills/info since I filed ROC.

Tony will be attending the interview with me. I told him that he most likely won't be spoken to at all and he'll probably be really bored and to bring a book but he's there if they feel like asking questions.

3.21.2014: Received email notification with case # for both petitions; case forwarded to NBC for processing

3.21.2014: Check cashed

3.22.2014: Hard copy NOA1 received

4.08.2014: Both I-130 approved (notification received via email) - It only took three weeks!!!

4.11.2014: Received NOA2 approval notice in the mail.

5.01.2014: Called NVC to ask for status of paperwork. Advised they received both application on 4.28. Advised to call in 30 business days for an update.

6.02.2014: Email notification received from NVC that shows parents' NVC case number and instructions to pay AOS Fee and fill out DS 261.

6.03.2014: Paid AOS fee ($88 for both petitions)

Congrats! 12 days from Interview to Oath scheduling, very lucky!!

Interesting that it took 12 days, I had my interview 6/17 and was put in oath scheduling 6/19, I guess different offices process things quicker than others.

Still no oath letter, getting a little antsy!

I'm super excited today (so excited that it hit July that I forgot it was the end of the quarter so I forgot to do something for work - no biggie 'cause I just chased my tail to finish it on that day :P). Work is letting us have today AND Friday off. Today is (hopefully) my last 4th July as *just* an LPR, AND it marks 14 days until my interview!

Nov. 11, 2008 Got a call from Jap. Embassy PC ready for pick up
Nov. 13, 2008 Picked up and submitted the Police clearance to USEM
Nov. 28, 2008 Visa is ready for delivery
Dec. 02, 2008 Visa in transit to Cebu (delayed bcuz Dec. 1 was holiday)

Hi ROBO96815, how was interview in SFO? Congrats!

My interview went OK and it took about 20 minutes. I passed the Englsh and US history test and was asked the following questions:

  • What is one right or freedom from the 1st Amendment?
  • There are 4 amendments to the Constitution about who can vote. Describe one of them.
  • What is one reason colonists came to America?
  • Who is in charge of the executive branch?
  • If the President can no longer serve, who becomes President?
  • Name one US territory.

The officer was not very friendly...so be prepared! Now, waiting for the oath letter! happy.png
