How long does it take after receiving the e-mail notification that "you've been scheduled for interview" to receive the actual letter with the date of the interview???

According to my detailed timeline here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/user/69339-vanessatony/%C2'>

Sorry about my reply above :S I think it deleted my link again because I didn't do it in HTML editing. Irritating.

I HAD said it took 3 days (you can look on my profile at my detailed timeline).

That's what I thought too! The fact that I have not received yet the letter worries me. As up today, it'll be a full week! unsure.png Waiting for it is driving me crazy. I need to plan for a trip, but I can't till I know the day of my interview....

It took us a week to get our interview letter from when we got the email notification. So don't freak out yet.

Also, how important is it for me to goto the interview with my husband? I have been out of my office for 6 weeks due to surgery and I really would prefer if I didn't have to take more time off to just sit in a waiting room. But I don't want to cause any issues for his status. Thoughts?

Thanks!

no need for you to go, they won't let you into interview room anyway. it's going to be just your husband.

Awesome. I didn't know if it would be good for me just to be there to show support. So awesome. I really didn't want to go and ask my boss.

You guys I need your help....

My husband is going to be going to the interview (based on most people's time line within 1-3 months).

I am freaking out because I do not think he will pass... He can communicate ok in English but I "tested" him yesterday (he did not even open the book yet) and he could not understand 1/2 of the questions.... The issue is not him studying or know the answers, is him knowing what is being asked .... when I ask him in Spanish he does SO MUCH BETTER.... Have any of you Visa Journey's GURU's noticed a pattern of which questions are mostly asked? I think if he had a list of the most used questions he would be able to focus on those and remember the question....

I am sorry but A LOT is riding on him passing as I have an opportunity of working and living overseas and if he is not a Citizen I will not accept the offer.... Please help me......Thanks

You really need to convince him to open the book and begin to study.

There is a CD which he can listen in the car, there are flash cards which he can learn from, the are apps on smartphone (free & paid), there are community colleges that offer the civic class for a very small fee or even free in some.

It's very easy to memorize the questions. All he needs to remember is 1 or 2 answers for each questions.

For some people it's easier to visualize a question with something else. Like let's say, for the question what states border Canada, to visualize the question, you can remember the Niagara Falls, and remember where they are and answer it.

Wishing him good luck!

Well as much as I agree with the other people that he needs to study, it may be not opening a book that he needs because they'll be read out. I speak/read/write perfect English but I'm still getting my husband to ask the questions out loud because you can re-read a question but you'd have to ask the IO to ask it again (if you dare!). I just want to be super-careful.

My point is... you may want to help him study. There are 100 questions they can choose from so maybe pick 10 per day to learn and cycle through. Then mix it up a bit. So day 1 do 1-10 then day 11 do 1, 11, 22, 33, 44 and so on and so forth.
