Alrighty! So we've already had the following interviews:

06/20/13 HARRY123 - Review: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/412738-n-400-april-2013-filers/?p=6313606

We don't have any listed for the week of 06/24/13 - 06/28/13 and only 1 listed of the week of 07/01/13 - 07/05/13 so we've got a bit of time yet until the next reviews.

The only scheduled so far is 10/25/13 so time there too smile.png

Hope everyone's study is going well! I'm studying on and off and reading a book on my kindle to take my brain off it too. We're also doing some gardening. We have rocks in our garden instead of mulch and I HATE them (makes weeding so difficult and they're just ugly). We bought the house in 2010 and it's taken me this long to get Tony to allow me to remove them and we'll replace them with some mulch and other stuff to direct the water away from the house (we had some flash flooding last month :S). Aside from that it's just work as usual!

How about everyone else? Are you telling people that you've filed? Are you waiting until after approval? After the Oath? Have you met with any negativity from friends/family/strangers? If you are waiting are you planning on a big announcement? Is anyone having a party or a quiet celebration or just you and your partner/spouse going to dinner and then life as usual? Any plans for AFTER citizenship? Anyone returning to their home country, or starting the process for family?

Well, I've just graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic, & My mom is here visiting from my homeland. That's why I've hardly been participating as much in the forums. Our plans after all goes well with USCIS is a trip back to my homeland really soon.

As far as studying, I've been procrastinating A LOT. But I'll be getting my studying on next week. I guess when I get the letter next week, it'll put some fire under my feet. Lol lol

Congrats on graduating!! Do you know how often I get asked if I'm in the QC because I go to Palmer? Lol. Apparently there's a lot of Aussies there 'cause it's such a well known school tongue.png Have you found that to be true? The Aussies I mean?

Honestly with the app the studying is super simple so yay! How long is your mum staying?

Yup, I know a few Aussies there. I'm the only one, or was the only one from the Caribbean in a long time. Mom will be here until just after 4th July. Wish it was longer, lol lol. Are you at Palmer often? Maybe I ran into you and didn't even know!!! Lol lol that's too funny!!

No sorry I just realised that read confusing! I don't actually GO to Palmer, people just ask me if I do because I'm Aussie and in the QC so I MUST go to Palmer. They ask me if I met my husband while going to Palmer, and the first time I was like "no... what's that?".

I have considered going to the head office there though or something and offering to help out fellow Aussies/foreigners with the adjustment to US life. Don't know if that's something that's even needed but no I've never been. Drive past it all the time though! I work in Rock Island but live in Iowa (up on 30) so sometimes I take that road instead of North Gaines.

4th July!! Are you going to buy fireworks so she can set some off herself?

A lot of people know that I have filed and been approved, my coworkers adorned my desk in Americana decor the day after I told them I was approved! I'm ready for the oath to get it out of the way and officially be that citizen.

One thing that no-one else knows apart from my wife is that we are thinking of returning to the homeland for good, we wanted to wait until after my citizenship so that no mater what we or our daughters did in the future, I could be with them in the US if they wanted to move.

The new British immigration laws are a pain in the behind but we are both feeling the urge to move back to the UK. Main reasons being family, I have 3 living grandparents in their 80s, they won't live forever and of course my grandparents. Also there have been lots of tragedies since we have lived in the USA- My best friend's son was born severely brain damaged and died at 1 year old, my brothers best friend died in his sleep at age 19, my brother nearly died in a car accident, I was not able to be present in any of these situations and both my wife and I feel a great sense of guilt over it.

Are we crazy?

Not at all. My sister had her first-born last year. She just turned 1 (this last week) and I met her once in September 2012. My dad died last year and i was there for the funeral but not to say goodbye (I did kind of talk to him before he passed but he wasn't really lucid so I don't know if he actually knows he was talking to me on the phone). My husband family are horrible people. We're thinking about having kids and I constantly worry about what it will be like to raise kids without family support... It's not that I particularly mind living here (it IS cheaper but the income sucks) but we would have to give up a lot to return to Australia... (our snakes wouldn't be able to come, neither our fish, or vehicles - which my husband is attached to) not to mention shipping some stuff, our 2 dogs and ourselves would be 10s of thousands of dollars. I just honestly don't know. Life here doesn't suck right now, but once kids come we may re-assess...

Citizenship allows us that choice though and that's why we're looking forward to not having to make any decisions or life changes based on immigration concerns.

That said, i have read the UK stuff isn't easy. I did read that it might be easier to move somewhere else in Europe first and THEN back to the UK (unless you meet the UK requirements).

First of all I want to congratulate the ones that have already gone through the interview process. I'm very happy for you guys.

Now I am getting pretty anxious here. My Bio was on may 31st and nothing in my mail yet. No letter, no yellow paper, no nothing cray5ol.gif

I have seen people that got their Bios around my date and they already have received at least the interview letter.

Guess I would have to be more patient.

From the table you've at least got the in-line letter. Some people haveen't even got that (or maybe just haven't reported that they have). It says 90 days to get it so stay positive!

Alrighty! So we've already had the following interviews:

We don't have any listed for the week of 06/24/13 - 06/28/13 and only 1 listed of the week of 07/01/13 - 07/05/13 so we've got a bit of time yet until the next reviews.

The only Oath scheduled so far is 10/25/13 so time there too smile.png

Just to clarify, my wife's oath is not officially scheduled, the date is just what the IO told her it SHOULD be.

My wife is telling everyone that she filed. When she passed her interview, she posted on Facebook, and got lots of "congratulations!" Probably most of them think she's a citizen now.

I'm planning to give my wife a party after her oath.
