I'm hoping we both can do out Oath Ceremony on Aug 9th here in Davenport. Then I'd finally get to meet you!!! But I think it's at the courthouse and as far as I know, no cameras are allowed...bummer!! Won't be able to capture my Kodak moment!!!cray5ol.gif

I called :) Camera's are permitted. The lady I spoke with called the security officer and you and your party are entitled to bring in cameras (cell phone cameras are okay too) per the Judge. So yay :)

If they deny your application just wait until March 2014 (minus 90 days) and file again. I wouldn't waste money or time going to court.

You should be fine, she has to pass it by a supervisor. You could also get your Senator/Congressperson involved. If you weren't eligible it's not likely she would have bothered giving you the test.. so I would think positive!

The famous "yellow" letter is a checklist of the items to bring to the interview. It's usually sent after your biometrics and before your interview.

It reminds you to bring old & current passports and other paperwork to the interview. Sometimes your online status may change to RFE when USCIS sends this letter.

We don't have any listed for the week of 06/24/13 - 06/28/13 and only 1 listed of the week of 07/01/13 - 07/05/13 so we've got a bit of time yet until the next reviews.

The only Oath scheduled so far is 10/25/13 so time there too smile.png

Hope everyone's study is going well! I'm studying on and off and reading a book on my kindle to take my brain off it too. We're also doing some gardening. We have rocks in our garden instead of mulch and I HATE them (makes weeding so difficult and they're just ugly). We bought the house in 2010 and it's taken me this long to get Tony to allow me to remove them and we'll replace them with some mulch and other stuff to direct the water away from the house (we had some flash flooding last month :S). Aside from that it's just work as usual!

How about everyone else? Are you telling people that you've filed? Are you waiting until after approval? After the Oath? Have you met with any negativity from friends/family/strangers? If you are waiting are you planning on a big announcement? Is anyone having a party or a quiet celebration or just you and your partner/spouse going to dinner and then life as usual? Any plans for AFTER citizenship? Anyone returning to their home country, or starting the process for family?
