Ok so let me get this straight. My third anniversary is july 7th. Does this mean I won't get interviewed until or after then?

You can be interviewed before hand, and even approved beforehand, but you cannot take the Oath until after your anniversary date.

You are right... But my hunch is that they will probably not interview people prior to the anniversary. I haven't seen any cases on VJ where that has happened but I don't follow the boards too closely so I can't say for sure. Good luck to us all smile.png

There's a few stories of people being interviewed before the date, in fact one in particular I recall because they were told they COULD have done same day Oath had they passed their anniversary date but they hadn't so they had to go back again for the Oath ceremony.

Hi everyone. I was getting a little bit worried since it's been nearly 30 days now and we haven't received a biometrics letter, so I pulled out the NOA-1 to double check all the info on it. That's when I noticed two different application numbers. The top of the form lists one (and according to the website that application was last update with the sending of the NOA-1), and the second is on the bottom left corner of the page, where it lists the USCIS office address. That application number, according the website, had a biometrics notice mailed out on April 24th (which obviously we have not received). Is it normal to have two different NBC numbers on your NOA-1?

My NOA1 also has two different numbers in the places you describe, I hadn't noticed that before. I put in the number at the top and it says that they sent out my biometrics notifcation on 3rd May, which I have received. When I put in the number on the bottom left it says that they sent out biometrics notifaction on 6th May. I haven't received that one.

Weird.

The number bottom left has a $ in place of the * so it's not quite an application number.

Mine has 2 (only different by a couple of numbers).

i suggest you call the 1800 number and advise that you did not receive the appointment letter. I've noticed the trend seems to be that your appointment is 30 days from your NOA1 date so you may have missed it. You NEED to call and find out where it is and get it resent.

I checked on my H's case online and apparently they mailed the bio appt letter on 5/8 :)

I haven't checked our PO box yet so I don't actually have the physical letter but great to know it was mailed out already!

I should be making a trip out tomorrow to pick up our mail :)

"On May 14, 2013, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was scheduled for interview. You will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview. If you have not received the notice within 30 days of the date the notice is mailed, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address"

Always remember to give the proper information when requesting an update to the form. Writing "appointment" can mean many things, hence my previous incorrect update on your behalf. Edited by Vanessa&Tony
