I surely did flick the grey switch to enable HTML. Don't see where the formatting messed up in comparison to your amendments, except for the word at the very end, but thanks anyway:)

Is there any advantage to doing walk-in biometrics earlier than the appointment date the USCIS has set? My appointment is for next week (5/16) but I am free this week to do it.

Nope, no advantage. Biometrics is just taking fingerprints and a photo, the N-400 process is what it is, and after biometrics you have an interview. Doing a walk-in doesn't change the process at all.

And not all ACSs allow walk-ins, it's a ####### shoot. If you have to travel any distance and get turned away it would be a disadvantage.

Thanks! I live close to the ACS in Boston so the distance isn't a problem. I was just curious, that's all. I'll wait, my appointment is just a week away... there is no need for an early appointment for me.

when you go through the update prior to mine you don't see all the tags and all that? Esp halfway through CSC and the "important" sections?

Received an email that a Biometric appointment letter was mailed. *happy dance* Carry on!!!

HappyDancer is a proud wife to a country boy in KY.

I-130 for Parents (Mom and Dad)

3.15.2014: Mailed I-130 Packet for Mom and Dad

3.21.2014: Received email notification with case # for both petitions; case forwarded to NBC for processing

3.21.2014: Check cashed

3.22.2014: Hard copy NOA1 received

4.08.2014: Both I-130 approved (notification received via email) - It only took three weeks!!!

4.11.2014: Received NOA2 approval notice in the mail.

5.01.2014: Called NVC to ask for status of paperwork. Advised they received both application on 4.28. Advised to call in 30 business days for an update.

6.02.2014: Email notification received from NVC that shows parents' NVC case number and instructions to pay AOS Fee and fill out DS 261.

6.03.2014: Paid AOS fee ($88 for both petitions)

4.26.2013: Mailed N400 Packet

5.21.2013: Biometrics

7.18.2013: Testing and Interview

9.25.2013: Oath Ceremony

Question for anyone clued in on this. Are they very careful about scheduling interviews only after you have passed your 3 or 5 yr LPR anniversary date or do they sometimes schedule interviews before the anniversary? I have travel plans before my anniversary date so it would be inconvenient if they called me too early.
