Thanks everyone.

I forgot to mention this, another couple waiting with us told us that the husband (immigrant for citizenship) was asked if he knew his wife's social security number! I find it strange but you never know.

I know my husbands but no way does he know mine.. don't think he even knows my last 4!! haha.

My interview is tomorrow so it's great to read the reviews and double-check I'm taking everything I should!

Interview is technically "later" at 10:30am and I am still awake. Being highly OC when it comes to paperwork especially with immigration, I am checking an double checking. I will let y'all know and post a review as soon as I am able to. Louisville office is roughly 35 minutes away from me so the travel is not that bad. Prayers and positive vibes needed!

All the anxiety has been lifted now and I crashed after my last post. I never realized I was that drained with this journey. :-)

Got my Oath ceremony letter today, its on the 8th of August.

Question though, here is what they ask me to bring to the oath taking

1. the letter - check

2. green card - check

3. all reentry permits or refugee travel document in my possession - does this mean my passport?

4. any other immigration documents you may have in your possession - still passport?

Additionally, after the oath, I wait about 2 weeks before going to SS to change my status/name correct? Then do I wait til I receive the new SS card before I go to the BMV to make the changes as well or can I do both the same day? Lastly when can I apply for a passport? After SSN & driver's license has been updated?

Any and all info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Basically you just need to bring your notice and the GC. Unless you have any re-entry permit(s). Sounds like you don't have one and even if you can't find it, that's no problem.

Additionally, after the oath, I wait about 2 weeks before going to SS to change my status/name correct? Yes Then do I wait til I receive the new SS card before I go to the BMV to make the changes as well or can I do both the same day? Most states, if not all, don't require you to update your citizenship right away, you can update w renewal. If it's the name change I'd think you should wait (not sure about this one). Lastly when can I apply for a passport? Right after your oath ceremony. smile.png After SSN & driver's license has been updated?
