When the letter arrives with your interview date, write in to defer it based on your return date.

Thank you. Baltimore is where they send us for biometrics, Pittsburgh is where they send us for interviews. Maybe I should change our field office to Pittsburgh? It's where we had to go for our AOS interview. Pittsburgh is about a four hour drive from where we live; Baltimore is just under two.

Congrats!

Why is your interview in Pittsburgh, PA and your field office is in Baltimore MD?

isn't it too far for you? did they have a reason to do that?

Congrats again.

A poster back near the start told me tht someone who lived in my area got printed in one place, interviewed in another, and oath in another.

Might help to change it though because wait time would be based on that office, rather than your baltimore one.

Just got here for biometrics. In and out in 5 minutes tops. The long 3 hr drive here was not fun with a head cold, watery eyes, sneezing. But it's done. Now to drive back...uuggghh!

Deja vu! That's how my 3 hour drive went. Except I was in the passenger seat coughing up a lung with my pack of tissues and napping while my husband drove. I was way too dizzy to drive myself.. then it SNOWED!

Man this drive is a trip. No passenger seat for me....I'm sitting outside the federal bldg dreading this drive back, wondering if i should go and find that international food store you went to. ...Oh! I asked the lady, Deb who does the fingerprinting, about same day Oath ceremony. She said they stopped those 6 months ago because of staff shortage. She said I would have an option to drive back up here for it, or have it done in Davenport on Friday August 9th, if I'm done with my interview prior.

Lets see how that goes.

You can be interviewed before then but you won't get an official approval until after that date.

You are right... But my hunch is that they will probably not interview people prior to the anniversary. I haven't seen any cases on VJ where that has happened but I don't follow the boards too closely so I can't say for sure. Good luck to us all :)

Ooo wow. Okay. Hopefully I can do that too. Or anywhere in the QC really. It'd be a great 30th bday pressie (15th Aug) if I had it all done in the same month and then we can do it together.
