This is the date listed on the NOA (Notice of Action also your receipt) that they received your package and put it into the system effective that date.

Its the official date the USCIS received your application and was entered in their systems.

For example: A list comes out and says: all applications with a priority date of 05/01/2013 will have to be transferred to CSC..then you will know your application that has a priority date of 05/01/13 will be transferred... Makes sense?

That happened to me. I was freaking out, but it's correct. Apparently, if im not mistaken, 85034 is the zone, but 85036 is to indicate that it's to stay at post office and put in a post box. So don't worry, your package will be delivered correctly.soon you will get your NOA and see indication that your check has been cashed.

Bio doesn't generate the touch. Next update will be only when you're placed inline for interview.

Sorry for my ignorance but I received the E-Notification on 4/29/13. So Do that means thats my NOA? I dont have check cashed date. How should I know if I sent a Money Order? I would like to update the info but have no Idea.

The E-notification is a standard notification you receive when USCIS receives the application.

Once the application is entered in their system and has been accepted, the NOA will be mailed to you which will include your priority date.

The only way you can tell if the money order has been cashed, is to call the money order customer service number and inquire. People who send checks can verify check cashed date with their banks.

Your welome.. But I should also add that you can only receive the e-notification if you sent Form G-1145. If you did not then, you will not be notified and will only receive the NOA.

Use this form to request an electronic notification (e-Notification) when U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services accepts your immigration application. This service is available for applications filed at a USCIS Lockbox facility.

General Information

Complete the information below and clip this form to the first page of your application package. You will receive one e-mail and/or text message for each form you are filing.

We will send the e-Notification within 24 hours after we accept your application. Domestic customers will receive an e-mail and/or text message; overseas customers will only receive an e-mail. Undeliverable e-Notifications cannot be resent.

The e-mail or text message will display your receipt number and tell you how to get updated case status information. It will not include any personal information. The e-Notification does not grant any type of status or benefit; rather it is provided as a convenience to customers.

USCIS will also mail you a receipt notice (I-797C), which you will receive within 10 days after your application has been accepted; use this notice as proof of your pending application or petition.

You can still sign up to get email and text notifications after they've sent you your biometrics appt letter, by using the reference code provided on that form to check your status online.

So, all is not lost. I forgot to attach the G-1145. So I'm waiting for my biometrics letter to arrive then I can sign up online.

You don't have to wait for bio letter. You can sign up for status updates online using case number from your NOA.
