Same here. I am already frustrated with this. I also don't want him to spend too much on our meetings out of the country. He asked me last weekend to check fares to Brazil and it is so expensive. I don't want him to spend more than 3,000usd just for my roundtrip ticket. He wants me to go there so we can spend time together while he is at work there. Even if it's really nice to be there again and spend more time with him, i will still really feel guilty of spending that much just for a week.

I've been hoping all the time for our NOA2 but i just decided not to think about it too much. I make myself busy at work and just sleep all the time on my rest days.

I surrendered it to Almighty God. If it's our time then it will be. :)

Congratulations to all of the recent approvals, I'm so happy and excited for everyone! Things seem to be moving along now, finally!

NVC received our case today (1 week from noa2), got my police certificate and immunizations today. Just waiting on NVC to forward my case to Vancouver.

How did you find out that NVC received your case?

You have to call NVC or wait for them to send you a letter in the mail. The choice is yours. I can tell you that NVC assigned my case number on June 28 and I didn't receive the hard copy letter until July 13, so if you are impatient, I recommend calling. NVC Contact information is at this page: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3177.html plus I'll paste the relevant information below

Customer Service Representatives are available to respond to case inquiries.

Telephone number: (603) 334-0700

Hours: Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 AM (Eastern Time)

You must include the following information to receive a case specific response:

  • Your NVC Case Number or USCIS receipt number
  • The applicant’s name and date of birth and the petitioner’s name and date of birth
  • If you are an attorney, include the name of the law office requesting the information

Note: This service requires the use of a touch-tone telephone.

Dianne, the best thing to do now is keep yourself busy. Take the necessary action once you've reached the five-month mark. A few months of waiting is nothing compared to a lifetime of being together. Everything will be fine. *hug*

Hey just wanted to update - we are now NOA2! We were informed via an answer phone message from USCIS two weekends ago. That being said we are still waiting for our status to change online and for the hardcopy! My fiancé called to double check - as I had not read of USCIS calling to let applicants know but it is all legitimate!

That's a new one though, I hadn't heard of them calling people. did you file any type of service request or anything?

I was going to post about a high rate of RFE's from Texas . Well got one today myself ! I put everything in the I129F but the kitchen sink ! The only thing I can think of my fiancee passport picture was a bit bigger . Would they be this ####### over this ?

i agree about all those RFE's from texas but i think it wont be that bad, atleast they are looking at your case, im pretty worried about the texas transferring the packet to NVC.

I wouldnt worry about your passport photos because i saw one post about somebody forgetting to submit the passport photos in their i129f packet

I saw a ton of them while looking at 200 numbers . I think the new employees are being very ####### over them . Had they been in VSC perhaps they would be approvals with more experienced workers . Well what can you do ? At least it was mailed today and should come within the week hopefully .

I called the NVC- 603-334-0700, you might have to try a couple of times to get through as it can be busy.

You will need your uscis #, petitioner and applicant (beneficiary now becomes the visa applicant) full name and dob. NVC can tell you if they have received the case, your case #, and if they have received your case; when it was sent to the local consulate.

Good luck!

I feel the same! I am hopeless. This process is getting even more complicated, the TSC is a joke! They are approving too slow and if that wasn't enough they are not sending the cases to NVC. My fiance's congressman called them a week ago and they said we should get a decision within 30 days. That is BS!! There are so many cases before ours and they are too slow. It seems like this will never end! and even if we get the noa2 now it could take 6 to 8 weeks untill NVC send it to the embassy in Brazil!? What the #######?? This is so frustrating!

Sorry guys for my thoughts, I'm just saying... cray5ol.gif
