My notice date on the NOA2 was June 30th, but it still hasn't arrived at the NVC. So while my petition was approved nothing has moved forward. In fact, if you guys still waiting get approved next week it might get lumped into the same shipment with mine. Therefore, my NOA2 notice from two weeks ago is somewhat meaningless, as it still sits at the same service center with the unnapproved petitions. NVC informed me that 8 weeks must go by before they can actively search for my petition paperwork. I thought after NOA2 things were supposed to move faster.

That October 5th target wedding date is getting closer and closer...

02/01/2013 - Notified via e-mail that the petition had been accepted

02/05/2013 - Notified the alien registration number has been changed

07/01/2013 - USCIS website page for my case updated - K1 Petition Approved, NOA2 mailed

07/15/2013 - Visa paperwork arrived at NVC

07/23/2013 - Visa paperwork arrived at U.S. Embassy in Tokyo - Packet 3 mailed

08/12/2013 - Interview at U.S. Embassy scheduled for 9:00 a.m. - APPROVED!!!!
08/29/2013 - Flight booked for U.S.

10/05/2013 - Wedding date planned

I have been doing some trawling and came across another thread discussion about how the hell things are being processed etc and why are some people put above others.

Anyway, long story short... This link (although a few years old now) it is actually REALLY useful to read. It is a Q & A with a past employee of USCIS adjudicator and how things are done etc.

http://www.visajourney.com/content/adjudicator-q-and-a

I thought others might find it useful!

Thanks for the link. Seen it and incompetent is my only conclusion. System fails because it is flawed.

We made the announcement of our approval in the forum yesterday but didn't make one here. We received our approval last night around 9pm EST! We were even lucky enough to be together as Jo is currently on holiday visiting me for the summer. I hope more approvals come down the line for others soon!

Congratulations to you as well. We weren't together when the NOA2 came through, but I am going to be there 2 weeks from now and she has her medical scheduled for then and by the time I leave, we will have done everything but the interview. It is never easy when we have to part at the end of each trip (as I'm sure you and everyone else filing for a K-1 understands), but this time will be different because I know it's going to be the last time and only a brief time apart for us. Of course after the marriage there is still plenty of USCIS headaches to deal with, but they will be much easier to deal with as husband and wife living together than they have been being apart.

My fiance got a call from the Georgia Congressman's Office yesterday to say that our I-129F was approved on July 8 - however we have received NO notifications (which we had been getting via text and email prior) and the internet site isn't updated. I don't want to celebrate just yet as I am a little sceptical at the service centre's pace. Why is our paperwork approved but nothing is done about it!? We only found out about the approval due to the Congressman's Office!

This was the email he received (we filed the G-1145 for notifications right at the start of our journey):

Fiancee Petition

Good morning,

Here is the email I received from the Texas Service Center:

On July 8, 2013 Mr. Christopher Ramey’s Form I-129F Petition for Alien Fiancé (e) case (EAC1390206558/A205823474) was approved and a notice of action was sent accordantly. Thank you for your inquiry and please do not hesitate to contact us again if you have further questions regarding this case.

Did you submit Form G-1145, the form for e-notification of acceptance of the petition?

Have a good day,

Anne Watson

Same thing happened to me. I just found out I was approved last July 8,2013 from the service request I made on June 26,2013. I didnt get any email from USCIS and my status was not updated on website too. Some how a lot of cases that got approved last July 8 didnt get any notifications. Just to verify if Im really approved I called tier 2 representative the next day and she confirmed my I129f is approved. Im still wating for the NOA2 hard copy though. Im not satisfied until I see that in mail.

I was a little bored today . I went back about 500 numbers yes 500 . Said I was bored OK . Good news it looks like . There are exactly 10 numbers behind me . Just to make sure I went back the other 490 to check . All RFE or PDA on them with 2 still waiting past like 200-300 numbers . In total found 35 I129F's in the 500 group .

For the two who got apparent approvals without notices, first of all, congratulations...second, I was getting texts and emails at the beginning and by the end of my time with USCIS I was only getting emails. I've heard many people at different times not getting any notices and the NOA2 showing up in the mail so it does happen. Have either of you checked your status online at the uscis website? What is the status there? Hopefully you are both honestly approved and if so, you should have a hard copy of your NOA2 next week sometime if all is normal. Hopefully the rest of your journey is smoother than the first part.
