I wish I had all of your luck. I was hoping we'd get our approval in June... Really hoping July will be the month, but since CSC has slowed to the "normal" crawl, doesn't look like the rest of us CSCs will be seeing an approval anytime soon. Nothing we can do but wait while this ####### system continues to approve things at the pace of a fat man in a foot race. Serious BS all of us have to float in NOA2 limbo. Big middle finger to this system.

If you don't hear something soon, you should be able to file an official request on your case since you'll be passing the current official 5 month timeline next week. Hope you see yours soon.

I assume that I go to the USCIS site and use the "e-request" link to request they do their job and process my petition already? Yes, thick with cynicism and sarcasm. Just flat out frustrated.

I understand. I was fully prepared to have to file requests and contact my congressman and Senators to push mine through. Luckily I didn't have to resort to that, but they are options that beat the heck out of waiting without anything to do to help the process like the first 5 months.

CSC still seems to be churning out approvals (according to Igor's list) at a pace of 3-6 per day, and although this seems really slow compared to more recent times, just go back to april and you will see that it would take a week or more to get that many out. 3-6 per day on here is pretty much the pace they need to have to get through all the petitions at the pace which they come in (100 ish per month). Hopefully they get to yours before you have to push further with service requests and congressional assistance, but either way, hopefully it'll come for you soon. I'm rooting for you as well as the rest of my fellow February filers

Ya, I have the senator email standing by. Hopefully we all see progression. Thanks for rooting.

Hi Guys, I do hear this a lot here about people getting in touch with their congressman, etc. Does this really help you think? Also, how did you get them to write the email/letter? Is there a online process for this or do you just have to call them up and request one?

Feb 8, 2013 - I-129F Package sent
Feb 16, 2013 - Case Accepted and sent to USCIS Vermont Service Center for processing
Feb 23, 2013 - Form I-797C, Notice of Action received. (NOA1)

June 26, 2013 - Application transfereed to Texas processing center

Each senator has their own website, so you can google search for your local one, and find the contact information online. What happens is after you contact them, they will get you a form you have to sign and submit which legally allows them to look into your case for you. All of this is usually done by an aide or intern or some other assistant type person working for the Senator. Once they receive that form, they contact CSC and inquire about your case officially. Each service center has dedicated employees who deal with congressional requests. They have a time limit to reply to any of these requests. They must look up your case and reply to them by that date and then your congress person replies to you. If there are no snags in your petition then this will generally get your application out of any possible black hole and onto the desk of an adjudicator.

Many times, I've actually read where people were in the midst of starting to work with their senator when they get approved, and sometimes there's an issue with background checks or something else that is an actual cause for the delay, but at least you can get a reason out of them if not an approval or RFE.

I checked my status on the USCIS site this evening,

On July 1, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E).

Precisely 5 months since I received my case number I get an approval. I did actually contact my congressman last monday stating that I saw some people getting approvals earlier than me yet had filed their paperwork later than I had. They sent out an inquiry as soon as they got my email (I also filled out the proper form when contacting their office to request help, scanned it, then attached to my email). I don't really know if this helped my case get approved sooner or not.

02/01/2013 - Notified via e-mail that the petition had been accepted

02/05/2013 - Notified the alien registration number has been changed

07/01/2013 - USCIS website page for my case updated - K1 Petition Approved, NOA2 mailed

07/15/2013 - Visa paperwork arrived at NVC

07/23/2013 - Visa paperwork arrived at U.S. Embassy in Tokyo - Packet 3 mailed

08/12/2013 - Interview at U.S. Embassy scheduled for 9:00 a.m. - APPROVED!!!!
08/29/2013 - Flight booked for U.S.

10/05/2013 - Wedding date planned

Thanks UK-USA-K1, that's very helpful. I will be sure to keep in mind. I'm reaching my 5 months in about 15 days so I may give this a try if I don't hear anything by then.

I just want to wish Good luck to those who are still waiting to hear something, I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you all!

We had our NOA2 on June 14th and our papers are already enroute to the UK. I just booked my medical exam too so the next few steps are upon us. But it's all still very stressfull and tiring, believe me it's the toughest times my fiance and I have had on this journey, so i COMPLETELY feel for those who are still waiting for part 1.

Thinking of you all! heart.gif

Congrats...We just got our NVC case number Friday, seems like we are a few days behind you smile.png

Do you mind if I ask if you know about how far out they are in scheduling the medical exam? I am going over there the last week of the month and luck of the timing, I'm going to hand deliver the documents she needs from me for her interview, but she was hoping to get the interview in while I was there. Since she lives an hour outside of london, we figured it would be easier to do it when we are already coming into london for other things anyway, and she would be more relaxed if I were there, so I was just curious about where they were at in scheduling appointments to get an idea of when to have her call and book it.

To be honest I was going to be away and out the country until July 21st so I just requested something for July 22nd onwards, she just said what ever date is good for you... so I assume that week is pretty free for now. Best to call and book something I say and if you need to change it maybe call up sooner to the date and see if they have cancellations etc? They have two clinics so make sure to call the main line that deals with both not the direct line to a specific clinic or you will only be able to book an appointment for that clinic.

The main line number is 0207 486 7822 which is also listed in the embassy details section of this site. Be warned it's ALWAYS engaged so just keep calling, it took me 10mins to get through.

Good luck! and so lucky you get to be there at the same time when she's going through it, I hear it can be daunting. My fiance can't come out to visit me now as work won't permit, he's already been over once this year and, as most Americans know, vacation time is very small and precious in the US (for most jobs) oh well only a few more skips until I board the plane back for good... fingers crossed!

Thanks guys. Sounds like pretty much what I figured...call sooner to improve the chances of getting a particular time slot.
