It would appear that those few Feb from VSC were congressman or something . Back to Oct and Nov now mostly with RFE's . Should I contact a congressman ? I kind of feel like I am cutting in line if I did that . We have a baby due in July and just want to get the ball rolling . ClockWatch2.gif

I would never say that you should or shouldn't do something. It's your case, and you need to do what you need to do. I can only tell you what I would do in our situation.

Personally, I wouldn't contact my senator/congressman until I passed the 5 month mark. Since they state that is their ultimate goal, it seems like a fair time to expect it in. What I did when CSC was in a standstill after I'd applied, was write my political representatives, CSC and USCIS along with a lot of the other people waiting in line at CSC to tell them of our frustration with the process. I have no idea if this actually helped, but after 2 months of this, CSC really kicked into high gear and have more than caught up. I would recommend this type of solution for anyone in a similar situation now and in the future. I think a little pressure in the right places can go a long way, and that complaints about an overall slow down may get more achieved than complaints about single petitions. That of course is just my opinion on the matter. I wouldn't tell someone they have no right to complain about their petition, as we each have our own set of personal circumstances and it's not fair to judge others for the path they choose.

Are any of the VSC people from February monitoring the case numbers around theirs via the USCIS website? If so, has there been any movement at all besides the trickle seen on Igor's list?

Of the 20 cases preceding ours, five were I129Fs.
One received an RFE on 6/10
Three were "alien registration number changed" dated March 6th, same date as ours.
The case immediately preceding ours received an approval today.
Of the 20 cases after ours, there were two I129Fs, both with "alien number changed."
I'm not sure how to interpret this data, maybe someone can shed some light.

Can't seem to find the 'edit' button. What I meant is, there is one approval and one RFE within ten case numbers preceding ours. However, we all know they do not strictly go according to order, therefore I'm not sure if this is encouraging or not. I suppose I could assume cases around ours are being processed.

My NOA1 date is 02/07/13, my alien number changed on 02/13/13 so I'm not sure if that means anything or not. it hasn't been touched since

The alien registration number changing shortly after the NOA1 date seems pretty normal anymore, although many still say it's a "glitch".

I can say that once I started seeing numbers around mine getting approved (went back 200 and forward 200 to get 16 I-129F petitions), I got my RFE a week after the first ones. I looked last night and there were still a few with just the A# changed, so not all have been processed yet, but it's a sign they have done some work. I assume sometimes cases are held back a little due to more intensive background checks for whatever reason, and that may slow down some of them.

For me it was a good sign, after I saw the first few change, the rest started to fall like dominos. of course there are still a few not changed at all yet, and I really can't explain it. I do hope VSC kicks into gear and gets you guys an approval soon
