Congrats Misha and Ben good.gifstar_smile.gif

Thanks! smile.png

As far as the health check goes, is there a period of validity? When my fiancee applied for citizenship in Taiwan in January she had to go for a health check then too. So would she be able to use her health check from then or would she have to have it done again? I have a feeling that it's different in various countries so she may or may not be able to use her previous health check.

I'm currently in California and she's still in Taiwan and when she goes in for her interview what sorts of documentation would she need? More specifically, what sorts of documentation would she need to bring of me? I'm hoping this would all be in that letter I'm waiting on but I'm too excited to wait another day, lol. I understand that we still have at least another 2 or 3 months but how many more steps are there between now and then?

By the way, I'm so glad I found this website. I actually didn't stumble upon this until after I had sent in my petition. So much valuable information and such a tight nit group of people that are all in similar situations.

As for the health check, find out which hospital the US consulate designates K-1 people in Taiwan to go. Then call the hospital to ask your questions above. She might want to confirm what kind of vaccination the hospital specifically requires. For example, vaccination against chicken pox is required in my country, but when I called the hospital they said "if you remember going through it, that's fine. You don't need any documentation as a proof." So it differs from hospital to hospital. (And prices, too.)

These information you need should be on the website of US Consulate of Taiwan.

Yep! found it. Its's American Institute in Taiwan (AIT, 美國在台協会):

http://www.ait.org.tw/en/nonimmigrant-visas.html

It leads you to Travel.State.Gov:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_2994.html#7

Go to K-1, then see "Required Documentation" and " Medical Examination and Vaccination Requirements" .

It says "must be performed by an authorized panel physician" so probably you cannot use the last one.

See Taipei AIT information on VJ: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Taiwan&cty=Taipei

Good luck !!!

Had a great week with my fiancé, but sad to go home.

I feel that I have missed a lot on vj during this past week!

I'm not going to quote everything I want to comment on (it would take forever and I'm on an iPhone)

I've been checking other numbers on the uscis website as well (I've also had to go back several hundred to find I-129f's as well, so to those who have done that; you're not alone) I left my sheet at home, so I've only been checking the last 10 this week, no noa2 yet; but I'll be excited to see about the other numbers!

Congratulations to everyone who has noa2!!! And rfe!!! (At least you will have a noa2 shortly after you send the information requested)

Today I went back about 200 numbers and this is what I came up with:

13 I-129f's (9 of which are within 20 digits of mine)

4- Initial Review filed mid to late February (Mine is one of these)

1- RFE June 10

1- Withdraw June 4

4- Initial Review (Also filed mid to late February)

About 200 numbers from mine:

1- Approved June 7

1 Initial Review (Early February)

1- RFE June 10

1 Initial Review (Also looks to be an early February filer)

I did have a sheet of about 500 numbers, but I seemed to have misplaced it. I don't know when these were filed, I can only make an assumption that they were filed sometime in February.

It gives me some hope that it could be sooner than I was expecting. :)

Think this week could be a good week for February filers!

Some of us have mined the USCIS website for information on petitions around our dates. The way we do this is to take the number from your case, which you use to see updates about your case, and start putting in new case numbers by adding (or subtracting) 1 to the case number to see a nearby case and it's status. Keep adding (or subtracting) 1 to the new case numbers and if you go a few hundred up and down from your case, you can get a pretty decent little bit of information on cases surrounding yours. Of course you want to ignore non-I-129F cases as their processing won't be similar to yours. That is basically what they are talking about.

I checked the case status on the uscis website that are close to mine to maybe be able to gage a possible timeline for myself.
