Thanks guys! I was very relieved. I asked for prayers from everyone I knew!!

wow! congrats! you are so blessed sis.. anyway, can i ask your parent's experience, what were the documents asked from your parents and what are the interview questions? Thank you in advance sis...=) again, congratulations!

Well, my aunt in Japan has a tourist visa and her advice to my mom was to wear her best jewelry. Haha! My mom said that it was fairly short, what took time was the waiting inside. She also had her photo re-taken while inside because the photo that she brought with her had her teeth showing. She said that the first question they asked was what their purpose to go to the US was. She answered to attend my wedding and the officer checked something on his computer (probably to verify my K-1). They asked my birth date. They asked if my parents enjoyed their jobs (yes) and if they had ever been to the USA (no). Then they were approved. The officer didn't even check the folder I painstakingly put together for my parents... Quite anti-climactic! (Not complaining, though!)

I feel so happy right now. We're not rich, but we're not poor either. We're comfortably middle-class so it was a 60-40 chance I think. We know a couple around my parents' age who were also approved for a tourist visa a while ago, but are now illegals in the USA, so I was scared that people like them would hurt my parents' chances for a visa. I'm so glad it worked out alright.

I wish we were rich enough so that my brothers could attend in person too, but I'm sure it'll be a hoot when they give their speeches at my wedding via Skype! :)

I am (usually) the beneficiary.

Honestly, I wonder, do we all just THINK they wouldn't approve parents, so honestly how many of us tried, I know we didn't. Perhaps a general tourist visa for sure. But maybe for one involving a wedding tends to get approved more. Anyone here have their parents or inlaws denied?
