So obviously I'm new here and trying to go about this in the correct manner. I plan on marrying my Cambodian Fiancee this summer. As such I am trying to prepare first for the marriage requirements and second for the subsequent CR1 application. There is a ton of information out there and I'm soaking it all in. Happy to have found this place and thank you to so many who post information.

My question is this, what would be considered as the "Certificate of Profession and Monthly Income" as required by the Cambodian Government? I have figured out what is required/sufficient for all of the other documentation except this one. I'm unsure if this is something I'll need to take care of via my employer, if some pay stubs will suffice, etc. There seems to be very little information on the net about this.

I have requested of my fiancee to go to the MFA and get the marriage packet so that she can read it and send me images of the pages so I have all of the correct items with me.

Thank you for any ideas or assistance.

Have you taken a look at the Phnom Penh US embassy website? I recalled that they said something about new requirements and rules about foreigners marring cambodian citizens. I think the age requirement is that for male you have to be 50 year old and under and make a monthly income of $2500 us dollars. I got married in 2011 so the rule was implimented soon after I was married. I remember having to show them like 3 months of paystubs and a letter of employment verification from HR.

Hello and yes I have reviewed the Embassy's page regarding marriage. It was my jumping off point actually. The last sentence in your post is what I was referring to. That is great information. All of the info I could glean from the web was regurgitated from the Embassy's site. I was assuming it would be something like a tax statement or recent pay stubs but the "Certificate of Profession" piece was the stumper. I'll formulate a request to my companies HR department and hope for the best. Thank you for the reply.

I have, yes but thank you for pointing it out again. It's probably because of my profession but the formality of the request for a "Certificate of Profession and Income" causes me to think beyond furnishing some pay stubs and a letter from my companies HR to filling out some form that has already been created by the Cambodian Government. I'm probably over-thinking this.
