The Dutch do that as well. They have an international copy of the documents that has translations into multiple languages, including English. I got copies of those for a bunch of my kids and husband's documents and sent them in with the original application. smile.png

Well my husband already found translators... we'll send them everything.

I use to travel a lot true Europe and I have master studies in Italy. I still remember how many documents and translations they were asking.

It's always this ways with documents and administration.

Omg, I remember, the Dutch IND (equivalent of USCIS) had my original birth certificate, and it said on all of my documents that my birthplace was "Unknown, USA". I think that it was just because some Dutch person didn't want to try to copy over the name of the city or state. At the time, my mother-in-law worked for the IND, and told me that it was more trouble than it was worth to try to fix it.

Did your copies also have an apostille? I made sure to send those in with the international versions, because I know that sometimes foreign countries won't accept the documents are real without them.

Kaylara, yes i know but apostille, but it's not necessary now... Italians asked for that on my graduating diploma from Skopje.

Also in his Macedonian passport for place of birth is stated only USA :)

My husband has double citizenship, he is born and live in America but he has Macedonian roots... He spoke yesterday with one of his friends also american with Macedonian roots and couple a years ago he didn't have any problem with international certificates for his wife. They were both surprised because she arrived there with same documentation like mine.

So now we'll send them what they ask, maybe Texas wants all documentation only on English, even if is international document.

Anyone still waiting? We received an RFE several weeks ago, requesting our marriage certificate, even though we had already provided it. Also, they had this glaring issue of stating that we got married in Seoul, Turkey. In case you don't already know, that place doesn't exist, they combined our marriage city, Seoul, Korea, with my husband's country, Turkey. This is so ridiculous, even our lawyer doesn't understand exactly what they have gotten wrong. He resubmitted our marriage certificate, and still we haven't heard anything. This is so terribly frustrating. I just want to move forward with our life. Uggghhh.

They just created a new city for you.
What I don't understand is weather this new city "seoul , Turkey" lie in turkey or Korea?
May be they can answer during next Aila conference in 2014 jan 30th
