You may be our first test on how USCIS responds to a transferred petition that has surpassed the sixty day "promise". You will probably need to to file an e-request to get things moving.

12/19/2014 - NOA2

01/15/2014 - NVC Received (TSC held it for 3 weeks...)

02/19/2014 - Case no. and IIN assigned; requested embassy change

02/27/2014 - DS-261 available and submitted

02/28/2014 - AOS available and paid

03/24/2014 - New case no. assigned

03/25/2014 - IV fee invoiced and paid

Our lawyer called and he got the mail of our RFE, maybe my husband will get it later bec he isn't home yet. He said that they are requesting for my divorce decree but i gave it to them already. Meaning they ddn't translated it (bec it is in Thai). Anyways our lawyer said it would take 2 days for it to be translated. Wish we can get our approval. Do you think would be better if he also add my husband's travel itenerary to Bangkok? He has traveled 5 times already in one year. Thanks for your reply. Have a great day/evening. :)

We received RFE hard copy.

They ask for translations of mine birth certificate and marriage certificate.

Initially we gave them international certificates provided from Macedonian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

My husband already send them e-mail how to understand them, and now he's preparing the translation to send them by post mail.

It's ok, we will gave them, maybe it's confusing because on the certificates, there is a sentence about some convention and the same sentence it's written on 10 languages.

I think someone from march fillers had it same think with translations.

You have a lawyer, did he not know that everything needs to be in english? I thought the reason for a lawyer is to make sure that it's done right the first time.

Who is doing the translation for you? Can you request an english copy from your country?

Hi, How it's going with NVC? :)

In Macedonia official language is Macedonian and we use Cyrillic letters. All documents are written that way. But when you need some of the certificates for foreign countries, The Ministry it's self provide bilingual version on the same documents called international. So the document is not translated it's original provided on two languages. You go there and you ask for international document.

Those two documents are already on English, and are originals provided from The Ministry of Internal affairs of Macedonia.

The Dutch do that as well. They have an international copy of the documents that has translations into multiple languages, including English. I got copies of those for a bunch of my kids and husband's documents and sent them in with the original application. smile.png
