Thank you smile.png It's almost 9 months I'm worried

Your petition was transffered to Texas before mine but I just noticed that you filed K3 on October 25th. It looks like Texas waited for your other petition. From what I've seen K3 can actually slow down the I-130 a littlle bit. USCIS will tie both I-130 and I-129F together and approve them at the same time, then goodbye K3.

Yes I noticed that to. Well I'm filling my profile on VJ so i still don't know to fill everything at once.

It's logical to tie I-130 i I-129F, but slow down... How slower than this could it be... sad.png

After 8 months of waiting we decided to apply for K3 Visa also.

What is your priority date or NOA 1...?

I absolutely hate this too. Every day at work, the EXACT SAME people ask me when I will be moving out to live with my husband, then feign shock when I say maybe a year or more. I think they do it on purpose. I don't even know these people, they work on a different floor to me, yet they love provoking me sad.png

That's why I didn't make the annoucement yet... Some people at work know, a few good friends and my children ..of course But people don't understand the process. They think the minute you get married its like an instant visa and you can just fly the next day. Its too exhausting and depressing to keep explaining.

The day my husband puts his feet on US soil is when I will make the announcement.

Let's compare our timelines:

I-130 Sent : 02-23 02-27

I-130 NOA1 : 02-26 02-28

Transferred to Texas: 10-16 10-29

I-130 NOA2 : Wait for K3 11-08

I-129F NOA1: 10-25

Transferred to NBC: 10-30

As you notice your K3 petition is slowing you down now. It will slow you down again once you get to NVC stage, as they will do another step:

a. The NVC will administratively close your I-129F or

b. The NVC will contact you with instructions on how to process the I-130 petition to receive an IR1 or CR1 immigrant visa

I will add my dates for comparison.

I-130 NOA1 : 2-25

Transferred : Nothing

1-130 NOA2 : Nada

So these idiots have no rhyme or reason. They do what they want when they want and to heel with anyone else.

I feel you....this process is absolutely ridiculous and the whole PD seems like it is barely heeded at all. I have a PD of Feb 23rd and we hear nothing! I called, and was given an opportunity to get a call back, which I did, when I spoke to the representative, she said my case had been transferred back in April, but that she was not at liberty to tell me which local office because they would have to contact me themselves (!!!! seriously?!?! I can't even know where my case file is???)...so I had to do an infopass or whatever, so that the unknown office would contact me...which they didn't. They just sent me a generic email stating that they could not tell me anything and to be patient and keep waiting. Our lawyer has also called and heard nothing, except that the timeline has now lengthened to about 8 months (we are beyond that now too...ugh).

And to add to it all, we cannot see anything on the online system. It just pops up with an error message that they cannot find my case file and to call USCIS. Which freaked me out the first month after filing....but when I finally heard from USCIS regarding this, they said it is normal and that lots of people get this error.

Oh! And not to mention that while I was on the phone with the USCIS Tier 2 about the status of my case, I got another call from USCIS Tier 2, and when I spoke to the other agent, she gave completely conflicting information: saying that our case had just been touched a week ago, has never been transfered, and all her dates didn't match up with the other teir 2 I had spoken with only moments before. I mean, really! What are they doing? How can two different Tier 2 give me different dates and info?! Do they just make this up?? I am so confused by whatever goes on in their offices. Totally ridiculous.

That is similar to my experience. Called, nada, Senators, nada, Congressman, nada, DHS Ombudsman, nada. The only thing I am certain of with them is they cashed my check. EVERY time I speka to them I get a different response, this last was the worst.

I called after 6 months and was told to wait 8, so I called after 8 months and was told there was NO time estimate. When I asked to have my case flagged for excessive time, since it was over 5 months, I was told there is no date for excessive time anymore, that I will just have to wait. So the rules are: Whatever they want them to be at the moment.

Just to think, we are suppose to have priority processing for our families too... wow I hate to think of those poor suckers that do not...

We had already been true all that… I wrote it in my previous posts…

We called after 6 months in August precisely and were told that our case is transferred to Nebraska, my husband mailed them and we received answer from there after 50 days that our case was never transferred in NSC. We called USCIS after that and received answer who told you that your case is there it’s never been transferred there it’s in local office since April. My husband made an infopas, but we were inpatient so he called them again and we received another different answer, no, no your case was never transferred here it’s probably still in NBC.

He went to infopass, and finally some nice person promised him that she will locate our case, after 5 hours he received e-mail with info. After that we were transferred to Texas, we got e-mail, status update, and hard copy of transfer letter.

Don’t give up… go again, call them again
