OK GUYS, I WAS GOING TO WAIT UNTIL I GET A NOTIFICATION ON THIS ONE, BUT I JUST HAVE TO SHARE WHAT I GOT FROM A TIER2 OFFICER LAST TUESDAY WHEN I CALLED. I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO TALK TO SOMEONE WHO TALKS THE SAME LANGUAGE AS I DO. I TOLD HER THAT I START TO LOSE FAITH WITH ANYONE AT THE 800 NO COZ' IT'S THE SAME EXCUSES. BUT I KEPT TRYING JUST MAYBE SOMEONE WILL GIVE ME AN HONEST ANSWER. SHE SAID THAT IT WAS TRUE THAT MY FILE WAS TOUCHED BUT THERE WAS AN UPDATE AGAIN LAST WEEK THAT CONFIRMS WHAT IVE BEEN READING HERE LATELY. 4 WKS AGO THEY SAID THAT ALL THE FILE LEFT AT NBC MISSOURI WILL BE PROCESSED BY THE END OF OCT WHICH INCLUDE MINE THAT WAS FEB PD. BUT NOW, IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN COZ' ALL THOSE FILES LEFT THERE WILL BE SENT TO LOCAL OFFICES TO BE PROCESSED. SHE SAID THAT THEY MADE THE DECISION BECAUSE THEY REALIZED THAT THEY CAN'T HANDLE ALL THE BACKLOGS AND LOCAL OFFICES ARE MORE CURRENT THAN THEM. SO I WAS TOLD THAT IT IS GOING TO BE ADDITIONAL 8 MOS(ATOTAL OF 16MOS)PROCESSING JUST FOR A DECISION ON A STAND ALONE I-130. I WAS ADVISED TO FILE I-129F FOR A K3VISA IF I WANTED MY HUSBAND AND STEPSON HERE SOONER. I DID YESTERDAY AND MAILED IT PRIORITY. SO IT'S UP TO YOU GUYS. I GUYS, THERE'S NOTHING TO LOSE IF WE GO THAT ROUTE. AT LEAST FILING I-129F IS FREE(FOR I-130 FILERS) AND HOPEFULLY CAN GET OUR FAMILY HERE SOONER THAN 16MOS. IF THEY TRANSFER MINE HERE IN CALIFORNIA, THEY ARE PROCESSING K3 FOR AUG. 23,2013. SO MAYBE I CAN HAVE MY DECISION IN 2 MONTHS...GOODLUCK GUYS...

I'm not sure if I completely follow you on this. I thought the whole point of opening a new NBC at Overland Park was because of the work overload and to ease other service centers from doing all the work. How could it be that it will take LONGER than before...

Hello everyone,

After seven months and a half of my initial I-130 filing, I was notified my case has been transferred (from NBC) to the Nebraska Service Center (for faster processing!).

Anyone knows, if this means another 6 - 8 months of waiting?

This is about the 3rd time I've read here on the Forums that at Tier 2 has told someone to file a K3 to speed up the process. I have also read that the boarder officers are seeing alot of people coming in on K3's.

My I-129f for the K3 has a NOA1 of 6-24-2013. The number for my I-129f starts with MSC the same as my I-130. I would also like to know when you get the NOA2 for your I-129f if it has a MSC number. Maybe it will be a CSC number.

My question to you is where did you get the Aug 23, 2013 processing date from? Did the Tier 2 tell you that or did you look it up on VJ.

On October 23, 2013, we transferred this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to another office for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow any instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

I JUST GOT THIS UPDATE ON MY CASE JUST 2MINS AGO. SURE ENOUGH, THEY TRANSFERRED MY CASE TO THE LOCAL OFFICE. SO THAT MEANS THE TIER2 I SPOKE WITH WAS NOT KIDDING ME. CALIFORNIA IS PROCESSING K3 FOR AUG. 23 RIGHT NOW. I MAILED MY I-129F EXPRESS MAIL YESTERDAY AND SHLD BE THERE BY NOW. THAT'S WHY WE'RE ALL HERE IN THIS SITE TO HELP EACH OTHER AND I AM JUST SHARING EVERY UPDATES AND INQUIRIES I DO. YES, IT'S A PAIN TO WAIT THIS LONG AND I CAN ONLY HOPE AND PRAY THAT WE'LL HAVE OUR TURN PRETTY SOON...

I still think the K3 pulls the I-130 along faster. They keep saying they are joined (Merged) and maybe thats not a bad thing.

Did the Senators office say anything about that? Other wise I'm pretty unhappy reading what they told you. Wow in 5 min. time, it goes from maybe maybe to oh no again. There are others contacting thier Senators office about the processing times for the K3. Maybe we'll hear a different story from those members.

I remember your Lawyer was in a hurry and spending his own time to file that for you. I'm not sure where (or how current) a Senators office would get this answer. Maybe its junk.

So cheer up LoveMyTico your doing every thing you can.

so let me get this clear ..

I already filed the I130 which was like ~500$

now if i file for I129 that is free

but

after I129, if i go the AOS route, that will be additional ~1000 or i could wait for my CR-1 which wwould be less im persuming ... does that sound about correct, so technically there is no harm in filing for I129 since other people are being told to apply for it

I-129f is free to file.

AOS is expensive, though.

Hello VJ friends from February...I just wanted to share my experience for the past month. I also am in the same boat...at the beginning of the month I decided to call USCIS and check on my status..(I have not been able to view case status online EVER). I was told that my case was transferred to my local office and that was it. The person working for the Congressman was always a day late, and also confirmed the same thing a day later. I decided to go talk to someone at this local office with an infopass appt which was scheduled for Oct 17th. There I got some disheartening news/ok news. I was told that 400 cases were transferred there along with ours, and they are taking over the processing now. Also, that it could be another 2-3 months. I knew to ask the woman whether they are just taking random files from a pile, or if its going in order..which she told me that they go in order. I then asked her where they were at...month wise...and she stated that she picked on up the other day from late Feb/early March...she told me mine was in a pile ready to be worked, but that it could take 2-3 more months as there were only 3 people working there. She told me to send more info...after discussing with her what I actually initially sent...she told me i'd probably get a RFE..and to go home and send more info. I went home Thursday and sent more info which included pictures, passport stamps, Western Union receipts of money I'd sent, boarding passes, phone bills..and anything else I could find. I got confirmation that it was received Monday. Yesterday at work I decided to go to the USCIS website and try a shot at my receipt number...which I'd memorized how many times it's been put in...and finally something showed up and it was the news I wanted....that they APPROVED our I-130 on Monday the 21st..and that I'll be receiving something in the mail. I didn't know whether I mistakenly typed in the wrong receipt number or not..so I made sure it was...did it again..and same message showed up. Mind you...I have not received a thing in the mail since my initial NOA1 and also no case status online. We were approved 1 day short of 8 full months. My suggestion to those still waiting...schedule an infopass appt at your local office or wherever it's located and go ask...ask them what they are doing. Hope to have more of you guys with approvals. I wanted to share this because i've spend the day seeing that everyone is receiving those notices of transfers and wanted to let u know to possibly try what I did. I'm not sure if my file was that ready to be worked, but the info I sent last Thursday got me out of them sending out an RFE...and we got approved. I hope this helps out...good luck to us all. I'm still waiting to receive my official NOA2 in the mail.
