wow i cant believe it. im finally approved. My wife gave birth to a beautiful little girl sunday evening and monday her 130 gets approved. how cool is that!

03/26/2014 Received a checklist regarding the birth certificate. This was previously provided in an email. Investigating what was wrong with the birth certificate.
03/26/2014 Called the NVC and was told this was likely because we accidentally submitted a "short form" birth certificate rather than a "long form", but we knew that wasn't the case.
03/26/2014 Wife called back to NVC and they told her that it was because the form was "too decorative". The lady on the phone told her to wait 25 days as she'll forward it to a supervisor.
04/04/2014 Email received with a CASE COMPLETE notification and P4 interview letter.
05/21/2014 Scheduled Interview Date.
5/21/2014 VISA APPROVED!!!!
07/04/2014 Sent renewed passport to Montreal consulate for visa placement due to old passport expiring.
07/18/2014 Visa status set to "Issued" on CEAC website.
09/29/2014 Entry to the United States.

I'm happy to see APPROVALS and I want to be happy about the transfers... but I just feel like being transferred to a local office will just take longer! Before, it seemed like cases were transferred after 2 or 3 months and it would then take another 4 - 6 months to get approval. Is it going to take another 6 months for those who are being transferred?

I just looked at the case status feature online as well. It finally changed to initial review after 8 months. Omg I can't believe it. It also says it will be transferred to another service center. I wonder how much longer. Any ideas?? Hope everyone gets positive info soon. This journey has been a rough one for me..

My case was transferred to Lee's Summit, Missouri. This isn't a local field office for me. Any ideas why it would be transferred there instead of Detroit or Little Rock? I just put in a change of address a few days ago.

My case was transferred to Lee's Summit, Missouri. This isn't a local field office for me. Any ideas why it would be transferred there instead of Detroit or Little Rock? I just put in a change of address a few days ago.

Lee's Summit is the NBC. That's so odd. Where was your file before this? It was my understanding that the files were being transferred FROM Lee's Summit to other service centers.... I'd call if I were you ! Let us know.

received the following update:

On October 23, 2013, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

Hi everyone - haven't posted for a long while but have been following the Feb filers thread regularly as we are Feb filers too!!

What's happened to our application recently is very similar to the posts above. A potted history of the last 8 months - well all bar 4 days - it's a long wait.

With the influx of DA applications we waited before calling USCIS the required 5 months and then started to call and speak to tier two IO's - well that's an experience that my wife (The USC) enjoys I can tell you!! Not once did she get the same answer form them and they even raised a service request on our behalf as one of them couldn't believe what he was seeing in that our application was sent to our local USCIS (Chicago - Arrrggghhh) in April!!! WOW we thought it must be getting near the top of the pile!! - but then it was sent back to MSC in July - no reason was given on the system so he raised the service request to find out why this happened but assured us that the file was now back in Chicago!! Wow we thought again - and to ring back in 15 days to get the result of the service request!!

Being patient kind of people we did the waiting - LOL!! and called for an update only to be told that the officer who placed the request placed in on MSC and as it was Chicago that sent it back he should have raised it on them - so we had to raise another service request - ARRRGGGHHH again - now the good bit!! The T2 tried to raise a request but couldn't as the original one was still open!! He couldn't close it as MSC had to close it and they were unlikely to be in a rush to do that as it's nothing to do with them!! ARRRRGGGGHHHH!! What a wonderful system they have!! So we had to call back 15 days later again which my wife did and still no answer - so we just gave up with the whole calling process as it's just depressing. We decided to hang in there and let time take it's course.

Well on the 17th of this month we had a new message on the Case Status page saying that:

On October 17, 2013, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

Interesting we thought as we were informed by the T2 in August that it was already back in Chicago!!! (Our Local Office) LOL!!! Still at least we haven't got to read the same old Initial review message we had been reading for 6 months!! Then my wife got a letter from USCIS of NOA - and that stated that our case had been transferred to Nebraska service centre!!! Boy our application has more air miles than me now!! Then a day later our status message had changed once again to this one:

The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Which we hope, along with having it as a hard copy as well, finally means our application is in a pile at it's final destination and will remain there until we get a final decision!!! We Hope!!! LOL!!

It seems as though a lot of Feb filers are getting similar messages and lets all hope that we will all be approved soon so we can move on to the next and hopefully final phase to be re-united with our better halves.

02/25/2013 - I-130 Sent to Chicago Lockbox.

02/26/2013 - I-130 Delivered & Signed for at Chicago Lockbox.

03/01/2013 - I-130 Fee debited from our bank account.

03/04/2013 - I-130 Hard Copy NOA1 received - Priority Date - 02/26/13

10/21/2013 - I-130 Hard Copy NOA received stating application has been transferred to Nebraska Service Centre!!

11/22/2013 - I-130 Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I-130 !!

11/25/2013 - I-130 Approved - At last !!!!

12/02/2013 - I-130 Status message changed - Case shipped to NVC.

12/02/2013 - I-130 Hard Copy NOA2 received.

12/23/2013 - I-130 Case File Received at NVC.

01/17/2014 - I-130 Case Number Assigned by NVC.

01/28/2014 - I-130 DS-261 Available and completed.

01/29/2014 - I-130 AOS Bill Available & Paid On-Line.

01/31/2014 - I-130 AOS Bill Marked as "Paid".

02/04/2014 - I-130 AOS Package Sent to NVC.

02/06/2014 - I-130 AOS Package Signed for at NVC.

02/06/2014 - I-130 IV Bill Available and Paid On-Line.

02/12/2014 - I-130 IV Bill Marked as Paid.

02/17/2014 - I-130 IV Pacakge Sent & DS-260 Submitted.

02/20/2014 - I-130 IV Package Signed for at NVC.

03/10/2014 - I-130 AOS package has been reviewed and completed (By Phone).

03/11/2014 - I-130 IV package has been reviewed and completed (By Phone).

03/11/2014 - I-130 CASE COMPLETE!!!!!!! (By Phone) - (03/18/2014 - Email Confirmation Received).

04/02/2014 - I-130 INTERVIEW DATE - 05/23/2014!!!!!!! (By Phone) - P4 Email Received 04/03/2104.

04/10/2014 - I-130 Case received at US Embassy London.

04/11/2014 - I-130 Case status changed to Ready.

04/25/2014 - I-130 Two letters from London Embassy advising new interview date - 05/02/2014.

05/02/2014 - I-130 Approved - WHOO HOO!!!!

05/07/2014 - I-130 Received e-Mail from US Embassy with Document package tracking number.

05/08/2104 - I-130 Documents collected from DX Secure Depot. Visa in Hand!!!!

05/29/2014 - POE - Chicago at Last!!!!

Fell in Love 28 Years ago!!

Final realised it 2 Years 8 Months

Married 18 Months ago!!
