Hi everyone how long after getting this will it get approved

On October 16, 2013, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. They may have done this because they want to interview you personally, because I word is that the practice of sending the file to the petitioner's field office stopped in July. As for how long it takes, that totally depends on the backlog at your local field office. If your location information on VisaJourney is correct, then it's the Chicago field office, which has allowed a massive backlog to grow according to their data from July. You may be in for a long wait, but you don't need to sit there and take it!

I can't believe it, but our application was approved today!!!! 4 days short of 8 months. Friends, I know the process is long and frustrating. And I know we all feel helpless sometimes. But keep the faith, because good things can and will happen for us all!

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

just called to get an update and or request a service on my case... rep said they just now within the last 2 weeks or so received processing times (after not having one for months) she said they are currently working on OCTOBER 2012 case unbelievable.. anyone else got this info? so looks like many more months wait.. I don't know who or what to believe anymore.. just very exhausted with this for the last 8 months..

those numbers aren't even current. They are reading a chart that is updated with information from August. There have been April, May and June approvals. Check out Igor's list. VJ is just a small percentage of files but if 3 April approvals come about on VJ, imagine how many others were approved who aren't memebers here.

Don't believe the drones who answer the phones over there !

I am a march filer (04-03-2013)and my wife (USC) has filed i-130 (spouse) petition for me.Yesterday,she called to service center for the inquiry of my case and they replied the same as mentioned by "DEEDER" that they are currently working on October cases.so me and wife also went confuse on her reply. Can you explain why they replied this?it alsmost 8 monthsfor our cases and we are still waiting for approval..

Have you guys seen this?? It's as of today, and maybe it explains the transfer notice. I think it means there is hope on the horizon!

Workload Transfer from National Benefits Center to Service Centers

USCIS recently began transferring some casework from the National Benefits Center to the

Nebraska, Texas and California Service Centers to balance overall operational workload. The

affected casework includes the following form:

• I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, filed by U.S. citizens for their eligible immediate

relative (spouse, child, or parent).

Effect on Customers

If your case was transferred, USCIS will send you a notice listing the transfer date and where

your case will be processed. Your original receipt number will not change and this will not

further delay the processing of your case.

wow i cant believe it. im finally approved. My wife gave birth to a beautiful little girl sunday evening and monday her 130 gets approved. how cool is that!
