We had received a checklist from NVC last week asking us to resend I-864 after making some corrections and we responded. We received another checklist today and it is as follows:

INSTRUCTIONS FOR: Beneficiary

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

______F - FINANCIAL EVIDENCE:______________________________________

The NVC has received the requested Immigrant Visa Application (DS-230). However, we are still

waiting for the response to the checklist letter for the Affidavit of Support (Form I-864). Please return

the requested information so that we may complete the processing of your case.

Does this mean they have not yet received our corrected I-864 and also they have completed the review of DS-230 and the related documents. So once they review the corrected I-864 after they receive the case can be completed?

Please clarify as this waiting for case complete is really killing,

When I sent my package at the beginning of the month, I panicked about the same thing when I did not receive NOA1 after 3 days. People reassured me that it can take 7-10 days to get the NOA1....and 7 days later I received a text/email! So no worries!

I received text/email this morning. My case is at NBC.

I have been hearing that cases stay at NBC for a month before being transferred (if they are transferred). Will the status updates online show if case gets transferred or do we have to call and ask?

I received text/email this morning. My case is at NBC.

I have been hearing that cases stay at NBC for a month before being transferred (if they are transferred). Will the status updates online show if case gets transferred or do we have to call and ask?

You usually have to call and ask an ISO.

With my first I-130, I got a letter 3 weeks after the transfer, but I think that is rare.

Same here, it took exactly 7 days for our NOA1 from sending date, and 5 days from receipt date.

Yes, indeed. Lets see how things work out. I hope and pray that our cases go through quickly and without any complications. Its really tough being away from your loved one.

My husband and I (USC) sent out I-130 package from Ireland on Feb. 19th to the Chicago Lockbox. Finally arrived yesterday, Feb. 28th! We are both living abroad with no kids or other dependents. So we're just patiently waiting now for the NOA1!

Once you receive your NOA1, it will include a case number. That case number will MOST LIKELY start with the letters MSC (since you are filing from abroad). Go to www.uscis.gov, and enter your case number on the home screen. Once you've entered your case number, you will be able to create an account (it's in the menu on the left of the screen) and sign up for text and/or email notifications on your case. I highly recommend doing so as soon as you've got that case number in hand. And don't worry if you can't see your case status...it doesn't mean that it's not being processed. And I know of at least one case here wherein a USC's spouse has now gone through Naturalization...and their case still reads Initial Review! :bonk:
