Well, there can be an average for all the offices, of course. But each office would be processing a different date, depending on workload in this particular area, i suppose. So there's no way to know for sure from the average when your petition would be processed, i think. I mostly look at office stats, to see how much they processed in the months since our petition.

But it looks like there's been a 1:3 completion ratio for most field offices since Oct 2012. It means that for applications recvd at a field office in April, there could be a 18 month wait?

Hey guys, I am an April 2013 filers who is sick of the wait, I understand what each of you are going through. The wait is a horrific heartache. I suggest we all contact the USCIS Ombudsman Liaison simultaneoulsy at: OLUInquiries@dhs.gov

I just sent the following to the Ombudsman. Be sure to read through and change how long my petition has been pending to match yours. I will post this letter in the Feb, Mar filers for them to send similar letter and we should all submit at the same time. Perhaps they will pay attention if we fill the mailbox with this.

Subject: Assistance with I-130 Petition at the USCIS National Benefits Center

Dear OLU,

The purpose of this email is to inquire about an I-130 petition I filed at the USCIS National Benefits Center (NBC) in Lee’s Summit Missouri to reunite with my wife.

The receipt number: MSCxxxxxxxxxx

This petition has been pending for over 5 months (USCIS processing goal according to its website) as of September 3 2013 and I have yet to be notified by the NBC on a decision.

I have called the USCIS toll-free number multiple times to inquire about the status of my petition and was on those occasions able to talk to various Tier 2 Officers who provided conflicting information about the processing time – some said 5 months, others 6 months, and so on….

Some petitioners whose priority date is after mine have received a decision from NBC and others prior to mine are still waiting. It seems as if petitions are RANDOMLY processed.

USCIS, in order to satisfy its customers should STANDARDIZE the process for FAIRNESS as every family is equally important and provide CONSISTENT information upon customer's request or inquiry.

The wait is tedious and I seek your attention into my case with NBC.

First of all I am sorry for your delay. After 6 months you should involve your local congressman or one of your state's US Senators. Contact them through their web-sites. I found my US Senator to be of great help when my petition did not show up at the NVC within 30 days of the NOA2 date.

I would suggest that rather than complaining to the Ombudsman, who is powerless to correct the system, that our complaints be directed to those who can actually change this obviously broken bureaucracy....your congressman and your US Senators. Especially those of the Republican Party since they are the ones who generally favor cutting the budgets of these federal departments. Imagine what would happen if the offices of these elected officials were suddenly to be flooded with complaints from their constituents about the burdensome and inhumane delays caused by the inadequate funding and staffing of the USCIS and NVC. So after 6 months at USCIS contact your congressman and/or your US Senators offices. Easy to do....just use their web-sites. If your approved I-130 isn't at the NVC with in 30 days....contact your congressman and/or your US Senator's offices. It is as easy to do as posting on VJ ! And I don't think that members of Congress are reading VJ !

@slvrfx, unfortunately USCIS is not funded by the government. It is funded by the fees they collect from us. Our Senators and Congressmen can only inquire on our behalf. I'm not saying it isn't a viable option, it just seems like they are getting the same response we are getting. No one seems to be able to really make any difference based on our complaints. Does anyone know who is running USCIS...maybe that's who we need to start flooding with complaints. Nit that it would do any good. Sorry, feeling kinda helpless today.

I remembered seeing something about organizational charts in the AILA meeting Q&A and found this:

Brandi Blackburn is directing the Overland Park transition and is Assistant Center Director for Division 8 (I-130s).

I wonder if we can get communications to her office.

My NOA 1 was on Feb 26, NBC. Still waiting on my NOA2.

Just checking how things are going with February 2013 filers.
