My sis lives in TN. What's my sister's local office?

You can find out the field office using ZIP code here (bottom of the page).

I'm the beneficiary.

Want to know what's happening with your case? Here's the USCIS tracking page (get an account and see if the case's been 'touched'!). Don't get your hopes up though, some cases never even appear there despite being successfully processed.

I got my NOA 1 on Feb 20. Around July 20, I called and the Tier 2 said that my case was still at NBC, that it wouldn't be transferred to my local field office unless there was something wrong with it, and that their processing times was around 6 months (she seemed annoyed that I was calling at the 5 month mark and we had a disagreement about whether the general processing time was supposed to be 5 or 6 months.). I called on August 21 (6 months and a day) to ask for a service request. The Tier 2 I spoke to said that my case had been sent to my local field office, that it had been 'touched' and no holds were put on it by a supervisor and no RFE's. He said that he couldn't tell when it had been transferred to my local office and I could do an info pass to find out. He did still put on a service request though. So, I went to my info pass at my local office and they told me that my case was still in Missouri and that nobody had 'touched' it...or for that matter looked at it. However, they did confirm that the service request was there, although they said that it's taking a long time for service requests to be processed. So, I went home and called the USCIS again, eventually got through to a Tier 2 (who seemed more than a little annoyed that I was calling because I wanted 2 answers that were the same). She confirmed that my case was still in Missouri, had not been touched, that the Tier 2 I spoke to last time was wrong, and that the service request was still there.

So I really don't know what to believe anymore. I don't think that ALL cases are going to local field offices because that's what everyone at the USCIS (both Tier 2's and those at the local office) tell me. And, I can't say I'd believe that my case has been 'touched' but not properly looked at. It seems like something they're saying to make me feel like something's happening when it's not.

Ok, that's all really. I've pretty much given up on asking the USCIS for information as I just don't believe what any of them say anymore.

touched means that your file was scanned in to a different location. Maybe someone moved it from the dark dusty hole on to someones desk. Being touched is a good thing. at least you know they have your file. I really thought August would have been good for Feb filers. Now we have Feb, March and April to be processed when Kansas gets up and running. SOOO ANNOYING

I feel I am getting a complete run oh round. It has been over six months already, still no NOA2. I even did that waste of time infopass, what a joke that was. I can not believe what they are doing to us. I wish there was something we could do to get straight honest answers from the tier two officers. I bet they have a meeting everyday to be informed what they will tell us callers when we do make the call. I also wonder if the nbc is fully staffed with humans not animals. Maybe the officers are scheduled 8-6with a lunch break from 9-6. I'm so angry with this system we have in our lovely country..

Had an info pass appointment today. no help what so ever. she told me stuff that i already know. someone else came before me who had filed 2 months before me and he didnt receive noa2 as well. she was saying newyork is backed up. but when she looked for my case it was never transfered to NYC and its at NBC. she told me just wait. she said if u try to expedite u will delay it even more. i dont know how much of it is a good thing not being transfered to NY. bcaz NBC isn't working on anything either.

i am a speck away from giving up. :( i cannot wait any more. i have to wait whole year to accrue vacation time to visit my husband. and i didn't use it thinking i will visit him soon . now I lost all vacation time and i will have to accrue it again and who knows how long after i will get to visit him. i m tired of this. :(

only a miracle can save us all.

My PD is April 12th and the address on my NOA1 is Missouri. I think they started using the Overland Park addy strarting in MAY. It makes me wonder where our files will be processed.. Will they stay in Missouri? and if so, why haven't they just kept processing what they have? Nothing makes sense.
