did you get this of "touched" info by calling USCIS or did you go visit field office?

I was told the same thing. They even gave me a date when it was first touched-Aug.13. Right now, all we can do is wait and see. I may have to call again this week just to see if there's any update.

I agree....they need to actually give us updates, be able to view our status online...something to show us some hope or good news...I haven't been able to view my status online on www.uscis.gov since I filed ....

_{ok, I just got a call from MSC a minute ago (the call came from this no. 877-376-8929), was told that I will be receiving an update within 14 days. I guess, that was the response I should have received before I called last wk. She also said that getting approved or getting our NOA2 from MSC takes no longer than 8mos. from their end. So I guess I should sit and wait till then. And yes, there was an activity on my case. We'll see...}

Very very very few and far in-between Today is my 6 month anniversary and every time i call a Tier 2, they say call back end of the following month. I will try calling today and report the results.

I am guessing ur case is at the Kansas office? The verdict is still out on 1) when the office will be operational and 2) in what order they will work on the cases e.g transfers from NBC Missouri, or the ones that went directly to Kansas. And there's a lot of conspiracy theorists out there..So its upto you what you want to believe

I don't understand how people get more information . from day one i am getting same info. "nothing!" it's pending. no dates or updates of anything. just wait patiently.

I am frustrated first they told everyone it takes 6 months please wait that much atleast. now everyone passed the 6th month period and they telling ppl somethign else.

I called again today hoping maybe i will get some good information too. the only thing that was a common answer "it's taking 6 - 8 months to approove at NBC". and they also told me they are not transfereing to local offices, don't know how much of that is true.

you guys are too patient im not patient at all i call I MEAN my husband calls (they are NOT allowed to speak to me about his case) and calls and calls and they speak to him as if they were robots... I HATE WAITING i hate to finally get to 6 months and now they are saying 8... I am almost telling my husband to come back to a more "family" country who treats their citizen with dignity i mean he(american) came here w a tourist visa paid like 400 dollars and they said just keep checking in every year for 15 years then u can have dual citizenship and what does that mean? well here dual citizenship means nothing cuz during the 15 years he has every right a brazilian would have! we have been married for over 4 years we have a 5 year old american born daughter so WHATS THE HOLD UP????? make a decision!!!!

Hey guys. I went through the immigration dance for my wife back in 2010/2011. I didn't want to have to do this again. But I actually have to do it again. My sister filed for her husband's CR1 back in February. NOA1 date is FEB 22. She got a MSC case number. No update, no nothing, no touching. Nothing at all. Do MSC case really take 8 months?

nowadays the i130 cases are being transferred to local offices. so it just depends on how fast your local office is moving.
