kind of counter productive the way they shuffle the files back and forth..... OMG everyday its something new.

I heard they only transfer cases if they need extra work or if they need to interview the petitioner. Its seems odd to me that they would send it twice. What a waste of time. I hope you get an approval out of this !

But then again: statistics for June have been posted, as of June, files are still being sent to field offices.

I'm the beneficiary.

Do we really want to believe the stat?

Err, well i do believe the government-authority-issued statistics, you?.. It'd be a big lie to make up.

I'm the beneficiary.

Do we believe what Tier 1 and Tier 2 say? I don't its all a joke. What they need to do is have a meeting with everyone and bring everyone up to speed on the real facts. I feel like they get an email every so often " this week, tell the callers it is a 12 month wait" " this week, tell the callers that their files are assigned to someone"

Every week people post the new ####### they hear. Its getting old

Do we believe what Tier 1 and Tier 2 say? I don't its all a joke.

I remember I called once and asked to speak to a Tier 2 to get my address change confirmed. The Tier 1 REFUSED to transfer me saying that they are not allowed to give out that information over the phone. I told him I had been transferred before to get the information and he says "I've never heard of that happening and I've been working here for 10 years" Really? Then how is it I know so much more than you do? *sigh*

(of course I called back the next day, got transferred no problem, and got my confirmation)

So, I had my InfoPass appointment today and got some very interesting information: 1) my case is still at the NBC, was never transferred and was showing up as "Active in System" on my immigration officer's computer as of 08/15/2013, which he said means they have started working on it and I should hear from them shortly 2) average national processing times for US citizen I-130's for your spouse is 5 months; so since we are all at 6 months now, we are over the national average and should all be granted expedites (he put one in for me just in case) 3) I recommend you all to make an InfoPass appt. if you can, you will definitely get some very useful information - do not trust those tier 1/2 jokers, they do not know what they are talking about; as quoted from my immigration officer "they are just reading from a script, if you want real-time information come in to talk to us"

So that was that - go out and take action, don't waste time on the phone! We deserve to have our spouses here, and these immigration officers realize that - he said it was weird I hadn't been approved yet since he has seen plenty of green card holders get approved, get their spouse a visa and into the country within 1/2 years max.... for God's sake we are US citizens - we have our rights... guess it's just high time to actually fight for them!

Good luck to all of us, and may our marriages and spouses and families be blessed.

Hi Yasha002,

Yes. SPF (S'pore police force) do issue COC to foreigners for US immigration purpose.

I worked in Singapore for 3 years till July 2013. I called SPF few weeks back at the below number which was given at Bukit Batok local police station,

Singapore Crime Investigation Dept (CID) contact number - +65 1800 435 0000.

SPF staff advised me over phone to write email to SPF_CID_COC@spf.gov.sg to get on procedures to get Certificate of Clearance (Police clearance certificate). I wrote email thrice already, but no reply yet.

Please refer to the following link : http://www.spf.gov.sg/epc/cert_issued.htm , but I am not sure if this procedure also applicable to non-Singaporeans.

Please advise if u come to know abt the procedure by any means.

Thank you

So I wanted to share an update on my case..I really don't usually do it, since I don't even believe anything coming out of their mouths anymore...I spoke to a Tier 2 officer Friday evening...she told me that my case has been looked at and touched and is being actively processed. She also told me that they are processing I-130s anywhere between 6 to 9 months, not the 12 we are being told to get us off of the phones...she then went on to say that I can expect an answer anywhere between the end of August to November or December. I guess the one plus is that it's the first time I've been told that my file has been touched, but who knows how much of this is true. I am taking the news with a grain of salt, but I did want to write and let others know what the latest info is. Others, if you have any other updates, please let us know.

I was told the same thing. They even gave me a date when it was first touched-Aug.13. Right now, all we can do is wait and see. I may have to call again this week just to see if there's any update.
