Thanks oohpartiv.

Can you speak to an ISO or a CSR whilst calling the USCIS?

What are the differences between the 2?

I read Ludikrishna s story, ludicrous that they feel no sympathy in pushing people frm pillar to post like that!

CSR would be the first person you speak to when calling USCIS or NVC. They basically just read whatever information is available from their computer screens. You'd have to specifically ask for a Tier 2 rep (ISO) when calling USCIS, which is what you would have to do to clear up this situation. CSRs don't really have any power in fixing those kinds of problems, since they're only given a certain amount of information.

USC who lived in Manabí, Ecuador with hubby from 2009 - 2013. Hubby became a naturalized American citizen in August 2016. Currently living together in northern Virginia.

Alas no, we had a 'disagreement' mast jight with my husband as he isn t committed to spend the time to call USCIS, telling me that they ll end up telling him lies.

I am obviously very upset about this.... If only someone could convince him that he truly needs to talk to them!

Yeah, I understand where he's coming from. I haven't asked my husband to call USCIS for exactly this reason. I'd rather just wait and hope for the best.

But I definitely also understand wanting to be proactive and on top of things in case there is something wrong... especially since last time you called they gave you confusing info. Maybe let it rest for a week and then ask him to call again if you haven't seen any updates on the website.

So my husband talked to our Senator and he hasn't sent the request yet... Looks like the USCIS was just messing around with our case once more!

We remaking a log of all the phonecalls/ emails we send to them, just in case we need to take it further, like the Ombudsman.

This is just plain ridiculous.

Oh, and our file still, isn t available, online either!

Hi! I am wondering if anyone here has or is planning on filing an I-601A Provisional Unlawful Presence Waiver? I am a U.S citizen, mailed the I-130 Petition for my Spouse on 2/19 and received the 1NOA on 2/28/13. My spouse is in the U.S. and we want to file the waiver in the U.S instead of waiting until his interview abroad (Juarez, MX) This waiver is fairly new and I would like to hear about others experiences with it.

I thought the procedure was to wait until after his denial at the interview to file the waiver? I wasn't aware there was another way to do it.

Copied form USCIS.GOV-

Provisional Unlawful Presence Waivers

Beginning March 4, 2013, certain immigrant visa applicants who are spouses, children and parents of U.S. citizens (immediate relatives) can apply for provisional unlawful presence waivers before they leave the United States. The provisional unlawful presence waiver process allows individuals, who only need a waiver of inadmissibility for unlawful presence, to apply for a waiver in the United States and before they depart for their immigrant visa interviews at a U.S. embassy or consulate abroad.

The new process is expected to shorten the time U.S. citizens are separated from their immediate relatives while those family members are obtaining immigrant visas to become lawful permanent residents of the United States.

It was approved in January and the form became available on USCIS.gov on March 4th. U.S citizen spouses can file the waiver while they remain in the U.S before they appear for their interview abroad. It is meant to cut back on the time spend outside the U.S away from their families.
