i have a co-sponsor and i have hired a lawyer to do my paperwork and the lawyer had us fill out the affivadit of support I134 form and send in the co-sponsor stuff (tax papers, id's, paystubs, etc)....we sent this with the I-129F in the beginning.

my question is.....we will have to send update info for the co-sponsor again at his interview...like the co-sponsors most recent pay stubs and taxes?

I"m hoping we don't have to....im just wondering if the lawyer jumped the gun

i'm worried my co-sponsor might not be so willing a second time around. she had issue's with sending a letter from her employer, ( she provided everything but that) she did not want to involve her place of employment.....she had a close call with almost losing her job over filing bankruptcy in the past and does not want her employer to know this either and will absolutely not involve them in this

p.s. i'm asking the lawyer to....this just dawned on me cuz i see where the I-134 is normally sent with the packet 3.....i just figure i might get a quicker answer here in the middle of the night as i freak out about it

Unfortunately anything is possible once it comes to being interview time. They may or may not ask for something more current to closer to time of interview. Can't give you a positive answer either way. Although I sent my infor. to my fiance in July...and we still wait for an interview date. So we will see if they ask him for more current 134 info.

Hi, The I-134 for the petitioner and the co sponsor are to be included in package 3 or given to the consular officer at the interview. If you go to the embassy without the latest tax info theres a chance you won't be approved until you present the info. This could hold you up on an approval for months with it being the Cairo embassy. Don't take the chance and ask the co sponsor for the latest. If your interviewing before April 15th you can still use the 2011 taxes. Good Luck to you

also when i file 2012 taxes....i will be reporting $20,000 i recieved in inheritance in 2012....but no employment cuz i have been a college student in 2012

3rd question....i have a child....so that means i need income requirment for household of 3 (me, son, fiance)......so since i have to include my son, can i include my child support i recieve to meet the income requirement? because i recieve $6000 a year in child support....so with the inheritance and child support puts me at $26000 for 2012.......i'm just not sure about the child support cuz it's not taxable income........but if i have to claim my son as a dependent for immmigration purposes i should get to claim the child support in my fiancial situation right?

Hi trulovesjourney! This also applies to my situation! My lawyer seems to think we need to get the 2012 taxes because we will be interviewing in 2013 sometime, we got noa1 on july 24th so I'm hoping for a NOA2 any day now. So maybe we could expect an interview in late march sometime. I have learnt not to put ALL my faith in lawyers so I'm just wondering how sure are you that if we interview before April 15th we wont need 2012 taxes? What is the reason for April 15th as a deadline? Thanks! :)

If your interview is in March and knowing that the 2012 taxes aren't required to be filed until as late as 4/15 then I see no way the CO could ask for 2012 taxes. As you know many americans wait until the last minute to file :) If you plan to file taxes soon make sure to use the 2012 taxes. Anything you feel will help you at the interview, do it. We all want to see the post were you tell us you're "Approved" :) I wish you the very best (F)
